I was on Yasmin for approximately five months, then stopped taking it for about three months, and started again just this month. My boyfriend and I always use protection-- but I have been getting nauseous randomly throughout the past couple weeks. I even vomited one day. I can't sleep, get comfy, or anything. I was supposed to start my period today and did not. Could starting my birth control be the problem, or are these signs of pregnancy? I'm going to get a test to be positive, but just wondering so I can ease my mind until then. Thanks!

I was like that when I was on the pill, but when I got pregnant I was like that too.. so it really could be either.. the whole thing about birth control is to trick your body into thinking you're pregnant..

I would just call my doctor and let them know but I would also take a pregnancy test just in-case. I would say its the pills, since you used protection but just to check and make sure take the test! You can also stress you own body and make your body think its pregnant so relax and don't think about it so much! Its bad to do this to our bodies. Just chill and take care!

i was on the shot for about a year and i was always nervous about being pregnant. sometimes you can just unknowingly make yourself feel nauseous. go get tested just to be safe. and keep using condoms until youve been on the birth control for at least three weeks.

The pill will make you feel pregnant! It makes your body think it is pregnant, that is why it makes some women gain weight and get larger breasts.

testing is always good though :)

It could really be either one. You've got the right idea by getting a test first thing!
