I think the present form of government offers very little in the way of democracy. Our only act of deomcracy is the 1 second it takes to tick who we want representing us for the next political term, and then we are subject - for the duration - to the whims of the party thats gets in (that may or may no be the one we voted for).
When you think about it, what is democratic about that???

The only thing that is wrong about government is that it has people running things. But, we can't have a government without people. So, we're stuck.

Of course, it is just that it is the best one found with all its warts.
Until a better form of government is found it will have to do.

the problem with government is politicians. a republic would work great if there werent greedy men running it. Now that i think of it, any system of government would work if greedy men werent running the show.

What government? U.S.?
It's not functioning properly. Rich politicians in both parties create ample corruption and self dealing.
