What might happen to you if you bring back something from overseas that is extremely dangerous or seriously breaching the law?

Like anything Illegal, Such as Drugs, Weapons, Food that may be dangerous and not declaring food,(May be Diseased Food)

As with breaking any law there are consquences. Some countries will apply the death penalty for importing illegal drugs eg Singapore. There are also prison terms that can vary depending on what you breach, eg dangerous goods. Quarantine in Australia for example may fine you if you don't declare foods you bring in.

Recent example:
The U.S. Attorney's Office in Houston said Howard McFarland Fish, of Connecticut, would appear before a federal magistrate Monday. Carrying an explosive aboard an aircraft carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
