Jehovah's Witnesses both witness and bear witness to God's personal name, his majestic personality, and Kingdom purposes. In doing so, they align themselves with Jesus Christ and the prophets.
(Isaiah 43:10) “You are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah
(Isaiah 43:12) So you are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I am God.
(Hebrews 12:1-2) Because we have so great a cloud of [Jehovah's] witnesses surrounding us, let us also put off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus
(Revelation 1:5) Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness”
(Acts 5:38,39) Do not meddle with these men, but let them alone; (because, if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, YOU will not be able to overthrow them;) otherwise, You may perhaps be found fighters actually against God.”

Of course that is not enough evidence.
did you know JW teach that Jesus came in 1914 ? but the Bible clearly says every eye will see him.
Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Technically all Christians should be God's witness. This is how we convert others!

It sounds reasonable enough but you would have to back it up with what they are doing concerning the spreading of the good news, the love they have amongst themselves and their daily use of the Bible.

Um, no. Can't explain it, and can't relate it to JW's sorry. It looks to me like he was talking to Jacob, Israel and Isaiah.

You're way off base.
Further, God's name is YHWH. "Jehovah" is an English transcription.
