Yes, it's normal that you don't like the taste of beer or any other alcohol for that matter and I applaud you for not seeing the value in getting drunk drinking beer, partying and all that s**t. Alcohol abuse is tragic. Binge drinking is just sad (I've done my share of it over the years), and what I've found is that when I've gone on a tear I've only succeeded in:

1. making an *** of myself
2. talking WAY TOO LOUD
3. gaining needless weight
4. wasting money
5. missing life

But my experience isn't necessarily yours. Try this: next time there's a binge party, go. But go late, when the other attendees are three sheets to the wind and there's no way you can catch up to them even if you wanted to. When you see how they can barely stand or form a sentence or are out back hurling in the bushes or passed out and their friends are taking pictures of them and laughing you'll know that you made the right choice.

Beer can and should be enjoyed as a fine accompaniment to a variety of foods. It shouldn't be used to replace social interaction or as a way to prove one's manhood, and you shouldn't have to feel like you have to make an excuse to NOT drink. Years ago i was at some party or other slamming them down and I asked an acquaintance why he wasn't drinking, too. "I don't like the taste of it," was his simple reply. I didn't think less of him. I kinda sobered up, too, and suddenly wondered why the heck I was even getting so plowed.

Thank you for exercising maturity and not "going with the flow" and allowing yourself to follow your friend's lead and binge drink.

Its absolutely normal,
it doent mean that when everybody else drinks beer or alcohol that you also have to drink.People have very different taste, there are people who love and cant do without alcohol and there people who dont drink and cant even stand the the taste of it,which is good because alcohol intake is a risk to someones health. You are still young, keep your body healthy, dont ruin it because others will think that you are not cool or something,in fact its much cooler because you know what you are doing unlike the person who drinks, looses his senses(starts acting stupid) and eventually develops a health problem.Dont allow yourself to be under pressure! You are a very intelligent person, keep it up!!!

You are normal. Beer is an aquired taste. Most people don't like it at first but they get used to because of the buzz they get from it. If your friends give you crap about not wanting to do it I would suggest you find some better friends. If they are real friends they will respect your decision. There is a time and place for everything and it's called college.

First off, beer is piss. It isn't normal to like the taste of piss so it is normal to not like the taste of beer. As for other alcohol, people don't become alcoholics because they love the taste of alcohol, they do so because of how it makes them feel, and physical withdrawls due to chemical imbalances. Secondly, you are 15. While that may be normal it isn't good. I'm not much older than you but I don't think you should drink until you are 17, some people 16, but pretty much 17. I would say overall it is normal.

Sure it is normal,
Beer is the worst tasting drink to have inthe night.
Beer is a drink to help you cool in the afternoons, period.
It is not meant to help you get high.
You can choose between wine and women while Partying or not.
women is a far better choice, they are pleasant company, better tasting give you more highs and bdon't leave ahangover.
THat apart an occasional drink is notr bad aaslong as you enjoy iit in peace

Yes it is very normal!!! I am 23 and I have friends that will NOT drink beer because they cannot stand the taste. When you get older your tast might change and you will find your drink of choice. But for now Don't drink just because other people are doing it!!!

You probably haven't been exposed to too much alcohol. It is normal that you are put off by the taste. Lots of adults don't like to drink alcohol either. It sounds like the real issue here is your friends. ONe why to hang out with them and not drink is to get your license and be the sober driver all the time.

My husband is 45 and hates the taste of beer too.... and hes a Texan! Nothing wrong with that. I wouldn't worry. I think you are quite a responsible kid for not following your friends bad habits.

It is perfectly normal for you not to enjoy the taste of alcohol. I am 35, own a nightclub, and still don't drink. Its not your right to manhood to drink as previously stated. Your right to manhood is to be a young and responsible adult. Not to mention after watching drunk people for years, its not worth it....
