Most times if the other player is betting out a lot and is trying to scare you then it is more likely that he is bluffing you. I get scared when they make value bets all the way down or they check raise you, Because they want you to pay them off or they are trapping you. I love it when i know they are on a flush draw and they have missed it, so on the river they put out a huge bet to try and push you out, i love calling players like that down. But nothing scares me at a poker table, if your scared of putting your money in the middle then you need to be playing something else.

The most intimidating thing is to be sitting to the RIGHT of an aggressive player who raises a lot. You should always sit on the LEFT of these guys, because you then act after them and can see whether or not they will raise BEFORE you commit chips to the pot.
If you're on their right, you may call or raise and not know whether the maniac is going to reraise.

The absolutely most intimidating thing you can do at the table is to check raise someone. When you do this they freeze, you throw their strategy off big time.
For example:
You have KQ hole cards.
The flop is K Q 5 - you check the flop, slow playing your opponent.
Your opponent bets $500, when it comes back to you you bet either $1000 or more.
When you place this bet the other player will just stare at you, wondering what you're trying to do...they'll usually call you, thinking you're drawing or have mid pair, trying to force them out.
If you do the check raise on the turn, your opponent will either fold or try to see if you're bluffing and try to raise you back because you have confused them so much.
I love this play, I love people calling me on it too. I have made plenty of $ by doing this : )

Be a grinder. Let him win a ton of small pots until you have a monster hand. Then take half his stack. This will really get into his head.

having a big stack of checks and pushing you around with big bets in combination with allowing it to happen to you and folding playable hands.
