Because your siblings know exactly what to do to get under your skin, when you live with someone your whole life you know exactly which buttons to push to get them angry and hurt when that's how you feel, because you know them so well... Usually though after me and brother or sister have just had a fight we make up.. so it's not that all siblings hate each other or anything like that it's just that they know exactly how each other works.

I can't talk for others, but only about my own experience with my only and older sibling whom I've never been able to get along with, no matter how hard I tried, until I figured out one fundamental fact: I committed the abominable act of being born. He was exactly 27 months old the day of my birth. He was no longer the center of attention and now had to share his parents attention with me. He will turn 50 this coming November, and he still hasn't outgrown his feelings of contempt for me. Our parents are now dead and if I never see him again, it will be too soon.
