Well I came from a chinese family who believed that a chinese girl should marry a chinese guy and my current BF is not chinese.. A reason which even they couldn't explain when I asked why..
At first I hid our relationship because they are not too comfortable with the idea of me being with him but my BF kept on visiting me at home and soon, he started small conversations with my paernts.. As time passes, my BF is trying his best and showed his good side to my parents.. They are in good terms now and my parents approved of him as my BF..

They liked my first girlfriend. It was a girl they already knew and all, so it was all good. And apparently, her parents liked me as well. Her dad taught me a way to throw a knife that I didn't know about.

They adored him. They were friends with his family. They had planned on us being together for a long time. When I broke up with him, I was on their sh** list and he could do no wrong. I broke his heart and theirs. They never really liked anyone I went out with after that.

They hated him because he was nothing, a nobody didn't want anything out of life. Stupid me I couldn't see that at that time. Now, I hate him too.

well, it took time for them to like him - you know parents are always like that but dont get them misunderstood by that behaviour...they just like the BEST for their children so they appear to be so NOSEY about boyfs & stuff...
now, after ten years of being steady - they prefer talking to him instead of talking to me over the phone. when i call them, they'd ask about him first... see? hahaha:-) but im not jealous... im glad things went well..Ã
