I was born Catholic and converted to Buddhism as it makes the most sense to me. I am not one of the weirdos that flock at the airports begging, nor do I have a shaven head. Buddha was only a teacher, not a god and he demonstrated his ideas of the purification of the soul on its journey towards Nirvana (heaven). There are many parallels between other religions and Buddhism, however your choice of religions should be a personal thing and one that is from the heart.

Me - but I'm just starting. I think I've always been a Buddhist, though.
I'm okay with finding my answers within.
I mean it makes the most sense to me. Not necessarily for everyone else.

I do... Buddhism is a very great religion. And if the word "religion" bothers you It's just a very good way of life..If Buddhists can't touch your heart, you really just don't look to see.

yes, I think it makes a lot of sense
to me religion stands for monotheism, there is no creator god in the buddhist teachings
Dharma is whatever helps you to evolve, so that can also be found in many places, or religions - buddhism is just a word.

I think it makes the most sense. I have studied it and I think it may be the only path to enlightenment. In one of the Gospels purposely excluded from the bible it is said Jesus stated the way to God is through yourself. I think meditation is what was meant by that.

buddha says do not just listen and believe in his words for they are but instead listen and analyse his words and decide for yourself.
that makes sense to me because it helps me to know what is right and what is wrong when i tried to study other religions as well.
but of course there are certain things which are very very complex and it takes a very very long time to know the closest answers but there are times when heaven is willing, you might find the answers sooner or later.
