Wiccans try to live in harmony with Mother Nature ( or Mother Goddess in some lineages ) and in doing that receive gifts from the Goddess. The end result is a life that brings inner peace and outer satisfaction and in the end return to the womb of the Mother... what is so wrong with that? It is just another metaphor for entering the gates of heaven to a mansion with many rooms as Jesus' metaphor in Christianity. Living in harmony with nature is wayyyy better than pillaging and plundering other nations and then decimating their cultural values and beliefs

Like Salem Witch hunts, people act that way because they are Selfish, Self-Cherishing... they'd rather see their neighbor thrown into a stake of fire than risk proclaiming the truth or justice. Some stay silent out of fear... when religion begets fear... forget going to heaven.... even goingto the 7-11 round the corner will bring much apprehension and danger... some for just being single and living with a black cat.!!!!

Wiccans aren't crazy. I know some really great Wiccans and they are the most giving people I have ever met. To the one that said he hasn't met a Wiccan that wasn't in it because it was the "in" thing to do, you haven't met real Wiccans then. I am not Wiccan but my 15 year old daughter is. I am not sure at this moment why she picked it but that is her decision and I am not going to deny her that. As far as BAC's go, I have hung out with them but they aren't very much fun. They kind of just wanted to sit around and talk about God and Jesus and stuff.

first if some becomes a born again Christian was a Muslim and is lives in an Islamic country they are thrown in Jail.
In China, Cuba or other communists countries this is also true.
also if you don't think Christians are being called insane then you have not been reading here long and you must watch no TV or movies from Hollywood.
Lastly there are many who have been persuaded towards Christ based on reasons and evidences.

I 've know a couple of wiccan and i couldn't get over how much i liked them and thought they were super kewl... if only people would open they minds to something that they haven't come across before and judge the person for whom thet are.

i have also know born agains, who hasn't there are so many of them and some of them are awesome and some of them aren't... if anything i see them stuggle with their faith and life and never with a wiccan

Wiccans aren't crazy. They are people who are attracted to a set of beliefs that are pagan and promise some kind of power. There must be something interesting about it, or young people wouldn't be drawn to it.

The problem is that these young people are being drawn away from the true God and the only way to God, which is by Jesus Christ. Wicca is a faddy, dead end street. God's word, the bible, is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and contains all things necessary for life and godliness.

I'm sorry to see so many people get enamored of things that end up nowhere.

Try blaming the Catholic Church in its beginings. Those Pagans/wiccans that would not convert to the Christian church were called Devil Worshipers and worse.
Even though the Christian church still uses the same rites, rituals also holy days that we used to try and get us to convert. They will not admit it. They also built their churches on or near our holy places to scare us away from using them.
Hollywood also helped to spread this wrong image with its horror films.
Now that the supreme Court has recognized Wicca ,Paganism and
witchcraft as real established religions this treatment is dying down except in certain parts of the country.

It's me.
I can't agree with you when you say a born again christian is normal.
A new born again christian is luny tunes. I guess you have never met one.
I was one, I remember so many years ago.
It was wild.
I was off the wall.
They used to say, here he comes and they would scatter in all directions.
Talk about being obnoxious.
I had the fire.
A space shot.
At some points in time I thought I was going to the nut house.

Because I've never met a wiccan who wasn't wiccan because they thought it was cool and alternative.

All wiccans I've met... just like the pagan idea.

But whatever, I have better things to worry about than religion. You need to be quiet about this... it's not that big of a deal and you only make it worse by bringing it up.

Good luck.

There are 2.1 billion Christians in the world and only 1 million thrown under the term "neopagans", which includes Wicca. The majority decides who is crazy. Sorry. (BAC are closer to mainstream Christianity than Wicca is.)

It's kinda silly, really. There are more "crazy" Christians (say, the God Hates Fags bunch) than there are "normal" believers in the entire Wicca faith.
