Is it then ever possible for a dirty rotten sinner to enter the kingdom of God?Can God save a liar and take him to Heaven?--->yes... as long as that person accepts Jesus as his/her Savior... Isaiah 1:18
If one can answer that question with a yes, why can't God do the same for someone like a murderer?---> He can. Remember Paul? He masterminded Stephen's execution and yet God changed him.
God WILL NOT tolerate or allow any type or form of sin to enter into his presence and that would include the place we call Heaven---> EXACTLY THAT IS WHY HE SENT HIS SON, JESUS. it was through His death that we now have the Divine Exchange. Christ became the embodiment of all our sins:past, present, & future. 2Cor 5:21 so all we need to do is accept that Gift of Grace.
The idea that God can save someone but not keep someone is a major flaw in God's plan of salvation---> because He has given us the gift of free will and because we inherited the sin of Adam, we were separated from God. However, Jesus came to be The Way back to the Father. should we stumble in the race He had set for us, His grace is all-sufficient to make us get up and finish our divine calling on earth. all we have to do is humble ourselves and accept the help offered by His nail-pierced hands.
and yes, the yahoo name may be winglin witch elle but i am a child of God because He washed all my sins and i am a new creation. 2 Cor. 2:17 and for the record, i am baptist-bred. =) God bless you, Child of God! may He grant you wisdom & may you experience His awesome love more and more!

..I guess I'll say this, I'm a little disappointed because of all people, a pastor is asking a question like this and on top of that...you're babtist..I am too. You're right when you say a liar is no more deserving than a murderer BUT..when you CONFESS YOUR SINS all that stuff doesn't matter...Jesus takes you as you are...with all flaws and even if you have a broken heart. God can keep EVERYBODY but you must CONFESS with your mouth that he is Jesus the Son of God. Yes...everyone can't be kept by God...everyone strays but it doesn't matter if they've murdered, lied, cheat...as long as they go to God whole heartedly and ask Him to forgive them for the sins, and to renew in them a clean heart and spirit, everything will be alright. I am definitely a living testimony. If anybody should know that.....YOU should.
Be Blessed...

See Mr Wizards answer.Repentance of your sins will gain you entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven if the repentance is true.
On the Day of the Final Judgment . Jesus will unlock the GATES of HELL and release ALL of the Souls there. And ALL will be returned to the body of the CREATOR that made them from its OWN body in the beginning.
I have several degrees that say I am a minster and a priest also. and they are just as good of credentials as yours.
With your narrow views it is no wonder that you have to be an INDEPENDENT Pastor. no organized religion would have you . I have a relative that did the same thing and was turned down because he wouldn't or couldn't fit in.

Every person who enters the Kingdom of God is a dirty rotten sinner friend. But by God's grace we are given a big chance to make it right, accept Jesus Christ and his sacrifice, to allow a change in ourselves to become sinless. We can only be 100% free from sin if we allow the Holy Spirit to work upon our hearts to change our very character. God will not allow people into Heaven that willfully sin, even after they have proffessed to know Jesus.
::Edit:: BTW PURGATORY WAS INVENTED BY ROMAN CATHOLICISM

WELL PREACH HOW ARE YOU DOING
It is God who saves.
He makes the call.
You are called unto salvation.
No one comes to Jesus unless you are called by the Father.
It isn't preaching that does it.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, Jesus Christ.
That is who the Word is.
You are saved because He wants you saved.
You see I believe in predestination.
I am, because of it.
I was saved in my house, no preacher included.
Never heard an evangelical preacher before the visitation.
That's right a visitation.
Kinda against theology isn't it?
It happened anyway.
Jesus Is Lord.

If you are a "pastor", properly educated in a respected seminary, then you'd know there were two theives and murderers on either side of Jesus during The Crucification. There at Calvary, they used their last breaths of life and repented with pure hearts....and Jesus asked of God to allow them in Heaven's realm.
And so it came to be.
Only if a repenter is of total pure heart of remorse and sincerity asking for God's forgiveness will he/she get it by ascribing their remaining lifetime on Earth towards atonement: living by God's Word and serving to help others.

Its nice that there are so many people with an interest in things spiritual. I am catholic (with a good bit of Buddhist thrown in ) and i like my scripture as well as the next man(sorry, person) but we really need to stop guessing what God does. .
Just do you your best people and let God sweat the big stuff. His eye is on the sparrow after all.

You're a pastor? What are you talking about? If a person confesses Christ as savior, no matter what sin they have committed, those sins are forgiven and they are saved.
If you are talking about something else, you need to be a little more clear.

Wow, all i can say is I feel sorry for your congregation if you are the one who is teaching them.
You aren't going to save many souls with that kind thinking.
God warned about you:
2 Peter 2
1. But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.

Sinners don't go to heaven, that is why Jesus dies and rose again that who ever believe in Him shall not die (John 3:16). It is up to us weather we want to accept this saving grace, and is not God that makes the choice where we end up after death, but us, as you know God gave us a choice to choose, so you decide your destiny, He has forgiven our trespasses if we confess Him as our Saviour !!
