You dont need to be part of a religion to believe and follow the Divine spirit [God]. Spirituality is all about ones own personal relationship with God, thats what you should be focusing on. Please contact me if you need any info or further advice.

You must make yourself a member of Christ's body, the church which is a community of believers because godly existence is a relational existence. You cannot exemplify love which is the true essence of christianity alone.
It's nice to hear that you are shopping for the right community of faith for the truth that you hold. I suggest that you don't just settle for a group which seems to feel good all the time (lots of hallelujas, loud music, and over publicised faith healing). Dig deeper. Does the group have a solid belief system grounded upon the teaching of the bible? Does the group practice what they preach? Does the group give Jesus Christ His rightful exalted state? (The group should not be leader oriented, but a cooperative body) This is often the case. The group has a dominant person who dictates all the affairs of the church and all attention is centered on him. This is dangerous.
Most of all the group must have a unique message for our time. The group must have a timely message from God which the other group doesn't have. The group must have its place in the prophetic time of God. If what they preach is just a rehash of old truths and they have no present truth for this age, then what makes them special?
Good luck on your search.

If you already "have your own opinions" why do you want others? Plus all the word "Christian means is Christ-Like."
And if you don't believe that the "higher power is Jesus' Father and that the ONLY way to that Higher Power is through Jesus Christ, then it DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK." Because THAT is the only way to salvation and all your "belief" in God/Jesus/Bible won't do you a BIT of good.

You can indeed. The idea of being a Christian is accepting the teachings as the way.
Muslims believe in the bible, and Jesus, as well as the Christian God (which is also there God). They choose to believe a different path to believe in.
The Jews also believ in the ideas, they also just have a different path which they follow.
You can choose your beliefs and as long as you follow them, you will live a happy and fruitful life. What happens after death is another issue? I know that my personal belieifs is in Christian values and teaching. But I'm not here to preach.
Good luck in whatever path you follow, and may you lead the life for you which will bring joy and better being.

I'm not sure how you can have one without the other. Being non-denominational does not equate to not being a Christian. A denomination is not a "religion." Christianity is a religion. Denominational titles only express how a particular group of Christians choose to worship Him. If you believe Jesus' words, then have you yielded your life to Him? If so, you're in the club, whether you want labels or not. Labels don't matter. What you believe does.

Belief is a personal thing....Faith is a trust in the unknown
Two quotes
Kierkegaard:
One must make a leap into faith
Mathematicians:
If it's not expressable in mathematical terms, it's an opinion
Read more, investigate, contemplate, meditate
"The History of God" by Armstrong is a good start
The works of Joseph Campbell
The works of Pagels
The Golden Bough by Fraser
The Avesta for a pre-judeo/christian "bible"
Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist writings for something completely different
Gilgamesh for perspective
Greek philosophers-their writings influenced ALL western religions
Remember the admonition from the Greeks
To thy own self be true

Yes, it is...christian is just a title which differentiates ones beliefs from another....I hope I understand you question. Now, according to Christ the way to the father is through him... Which means that you HAVE to accept and choose Christ as the son of God. Please do not be misinformed... many other religions believe that Jesus walked the earth and that he was a great guy with nice things to say but they dont believe that he is the way to salvation as Christians believe and thus the title.... So in ending believing that Christ existed and believing that he is the Son of God are two diff. things

each and every thing with a commencing up has a reason. The universe has a commencing up. it particularly is stated as the great Bang. God has no commencing up. God is an eternal being and is previous time. that's what Christians have self belief. God created linear time so finite beings like us might desire to adventure certainty one chew at a time. To an eternal being, each and every thing could be occurring stunning now. As scientists have theorized, on the 2nd of the great Bang, time, area, rely, and ability got here into being. until now that there became in elementary terms the eternal God. it particularly is definitely logical that God exists. in actuality, it particularly is a necessity, to existence and the universe entering being.

I think you are on the right track. I have been blessed or lucky enough to have experienced many religions growing up, and as my understanding changes with knowledge, I find myself searching again for a religion that is more truthful and more enlightened. No one religion has all the answers because of our history of what the church did to alter the religions, so I believe that knowing the truth and believing it, is so much more important than belonging to a particular church or religion.
