There are people who say they are. But the bible has this interesting verse: "they said they were one of us, but if they go out from amongst us, they were never with us". This refers to those who claimed to be followers of Jesus, but left the group of disciples. I believe this also refers to modern day people who claim to have been Christian. There is no such thing as being "un" born again. If they are not now, they never were.

Yes but I don't think I am; I think I was never a christian to begin with even though my mother dragged me to church week after week. I walked away from the religion in 1984 and I've not been back. I was never baptized and I never accepted the divinity of Jesus of Nazareth so all in all I'd say that I'm definitely not a christian.

First I have to ask. how do you get born again. and yes you can be an EX. anything you want. I am a former catholic I went the whole nine yards with only the priest hood left to go when the church denied me my right-full place to have a wedding in my church because my wife was not catholic. in stead of giving us a chance they just said no... by the way I was baptized and now if I want to claim to be Cristian I have to be born again? what the hell is this religion or a gang. once in you can't leave? or else? you can keep you little rules and shove them anywhere you like. If GOD wants me he know where I am and as for the rest of the christian gang members,, go kick rocks with all your little have to be this and have to be that, when the lights go out we are all left in the dark buddy........

Well yea!
many try to read the bible and to them it makes no sense.
NO one should believe something that makes not sense, and is what appears to be garbage!

No some:
If they try to find out why and to make sense out of it, some times there told "Well it just is", "does it really matter!"
It is sad that there are so few churches that even make an half jackass (-jack) attempt to teach the word.
To them I am sorry, but not surprised, it took me a long journey over 35 years to finally know the truth, I was lucky!

to those who make no attempt to learn- leave, you would anyway, you at best would have been what I call an xhristian anyway.

Of course this is possible. Our "Christianity" depends very heavily on what we see in other human beings. The vice and hypocrisy of "Christians" has produced more ex-Christians than anything else.

I don't think so, just a lapsed one. I know I spent a number of years thinking I wasn't a Christian, but when I actually said to someone that I wasn't a Christian, I knew I was a liar.

If you ever were truly Christian, even when you stray, you can be sure that the Good Shepherd will be there to guide you home.

No, I don't think it is possible to be an x-christian. You just didn't believe in Christ before. I don't think that makes you an x-christian

I'd say I'm an example, but having really thought about it, I never really believed any of it. I just had to go to church with my family.

So, I was never actually a Christian. I think it is possible to truly believe it all and then realize it's fake, though. So, yes.

define christian.
I would call my self ex christian. christian being one who actually believed the bible was the word of god, Jesus is his son born of a virgin, the trinity, Holy spirit blessings and gifts, making every attempt to renew my mind daily for Jesus and the gospel, seeker of truth, feeding the poor, sharing the gospel, would be persecuted, was baptized in water as an adult, read the bible daily, looked forward to His 2nd coming, held every though captive for God, kept my eyes on him always, studied to show myself approved, trying to be ready to always have an answer for anyone who asks about my faith.
The more I learnt, the more I could see, it was rubbish. Jesus is a myth
I am now atheist. I am free.
if you define christian differently then .... oh well..

Why would you want to be? I suppose it is possible, that gets into the debate of Once saved always saved, and salvation lost.

I believe that God will never leave me or forsake me, and if I sin, the Holy Spirit will show me, so I can repent.

But I can say that I would'nt willingly turn my back on God. The consequences to that are eternal.
