Well isn't that sweet.
I wish more people can be like you. I wouldn't say a pedestal, but respect is nice.
Much love *hugs*

Well, that depends on how high a pedestal. You see if you put anyone no matter who or what gender on a pedestal that is taller than they deserve you're going to get hurt before long. However if you respect someone (and you should always respect women, and girls) you are subcontiously putting them on a pedestal. But as I said just make sure that the pedestal's not too high or it'll fall down.
(sorry for the metaphors)

As a woman, it would mean the world to me to be that one who is put on a pedestal. Were that to happen, I would put my man on a pedestal as well. I love men and I mean truly honestly love and appreciate men. What would we do without each other? In my heart of hearts I think that we should all appreciate the value in the opposite sex and celebrate each other. Might be mushy and all but if I find the man that treats me like a queen, I will make him feel like a king.

Women absolutely should be treated with respect - kudos to you for that novel thought.
Put them on a pedestal? No. They/we are human and falling off a pedestal can really, really hurt. The ground is a lot farther away and the fall that much harder.

I think you are either very young or very naive. Women need to be treated as equals, given respect as equals, paid as equals. They do not want to be on a false pedestal, they are real life people who have rights, just as men do. Your attitude carries some serious problems with it. You want to make a giant leap backward into the 1950's...I doubt that many women would settle for your offering. Good luck

That is very sweet.. but way over the top, Dear. Should you put them on a pedestal? no.. should you treat them with respect? Absolutely. Then tone things down just a bit.. you will do just fine.

Sorry, my friend. You sound like someone who just discovered their first crush or just entered puberty.
All men and women deserve respect...and a long-term relationship with the opposite sex just doesn't work over the long haul if you put your partner on a pedestal.
I've been married going on 20 years, and while it may be charming while you're courting a gal to put her up there, it really isn't what sustains a marriage.

I don't know about a pedestal but it is nice to be so highly thought of. And of course we should be treated with respect as should men. All human beings should be treated with respect. And I like that you can admit that.
