Any women out there, who would consider giving a nearly 27 year old virgin a chance?Or is it hopeless by now?

Long story short there's various reasons for still being a virgin this late in the game.

I suffer from immense clinical depression and I've got no self esteem to speak of. These are the big two..

There's also the fear of being a disappointment and not really knowing what to do.

Finally I don't know if I'm capable of having sex, for the sole purpose of having sex.

There would have to be an attachment first, though I fear that I'll never get over my various issues and even if I do, that there won't be someone willing to look past the virginity.

Sure there might be religious types that saved themselves. but I'm a proud Athiest and thus not compatible with them. This leads to an even bigger fear, the fear of being alone and lonely for the rest of my life.

So I guess this is actually a two part question. The virgin thing and also assuming I do remain single, how does one be happy alone and lonely?

Ok here's some honest tips, instead of just saying you'll be fine :)

1. Don't get too concerned about it. A guy is concerned, worried or is solely trying to get laid never will. It's a keeness, confidence thing which is a bit like murphys law. If you want sex (not paid for) , you have to act like you don't need it :)

2. The fact that you're a virgin shouldn't worry too many women. For instance I've been with different guys, but would have no qualms teaching a virgin :)

3. Be totally honest with the girl about being a virgin if she asks. If she doesn't ask, don't tell her until you're almost in bed with her.

4. Don't tell her you're scared or give her too many excuses about being a virgin or she'll start to wonder why you haven't had sex yet - this is her going through the worst case scenarios in her head :)

5. Instead, make up for you lack of experience with keeness and willingness to learn - I guarantee that most women will like the sound of that (and get to teach a guy how to make love properly!!).

6. Most importantly, don't ever admit to her that it bothers you that you're a virgin. Just brush it off casually, that you'd like to try it with someone who means something, and not rush to get it over with (even though this may be the opposite of the truth :) ).
If she asks if you're nervous, tell her you've never thought about it like that before (lie through your teeth).

7. If you follow these steps I guarantee you will have women who will be willing to help you along the way. Just be confident, don't talk about it too much and it will happen. lol and remember to lie through your teeth - you have to appear confident until you're in bed with her:)

8. Once you're in bed with her, she'll expect you to be nervous and not a stud at all, so you can ask quesitons and express concern if you have any, then. If I was you though, just lay back and let her take control. Try your hardest, but just enjoy the ride - there will be no pressure since its your first time :)

You're a very strong person for still being a virgin. If I were you I wouldn't worry about still being one but instead embrace it. How many girls get to have the experience of taking a 27 year old virgin to bed and really showing him how to have a good time?

When you find that special someone and you tell her, your first time will be great. Most of the girls and guys I know regret giving away their virginity so soon.

Take your time and enjoy knowing that you have something that not alot of other men your age have.

As to what to do until then? Enjoy the freedom knowing you can eat that tub of icecream because no lover is going to see the extra pudge in bed, or that you can moan out your hot neighbor's name while you sleep and not have to worry about your girlfriend getting jealous. Enjoy going down to the gym to look at the grils because you aren't attached to any. Take up the art of flirting; get to know the differance between the type of woman that likes you for your brain, to the type that likes you for your body.

No, there is nothing wrong with being a 27-year-old virgin. Males don't even reach full maturity until age 30. In Europe, most males don't leave home until you age. You may also be asexual, which means that you have no attraction to either sex. Don't let anyone put you down for the fact that you are a virgin. Tell them it is a choice you exercise and is no less your right than that of one who is having sex.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire a professional so you can get that first time anxiety out of the way. Not some skanky one but an expensive skilled escort, maybe a little older who will take the time to be gentle with you and spend a couple of hours with you. Barring that, check craigslist.com in your area and other personal ads and explain your dilemma, some woman will find n anxious virgin to be a real turnon. And you can be happy alone if you are happy with yourself and your life. It's nice to have someone of course, but there are other things in life.

sounds like you are anxious and over thinking things. sex is never 'great' the first time...wether it's your first time or your first time with a new girl, it always gets better. Romance, love and friendship great, and they go hand in hand with sex, but they are all seperate things. You can have love etc. without sex and sex without love. My advice would be to just go out and get the first one out of the way. Then regroup, make notes, and forge a plan of attack for the next venture haha
