We all have to fight temptation that is part of being human. But, that doesn't make us all sinners. Sinners are the ones that yield to that temptation.
Jesus was given the ultimate temptation by Satan, who promised him the world. Jesus refused, and he knew what his future had in store for him. He could have passed up a painful death and public humiliation and gone with Satan, but he didn't do that he wouldn't do that.
A sin isn't necessarily what the church says is right or wrong. After all the King James version of the Bible turned all the key figures into white people. At least some of them should have been black or brown. The church interprets the bible as they see fit.
The basic rules for sins are based on the 10 commandments. Can you find a case where Jesus violated one of the 10 commandments? If so then you have found a sin that he committed. Thinking about committing a sin is far from the actual act of doing it. God gave us all the freedom of choice and you can’t make a choice until you look at all the options. If I rob a bank I could get some money to pay off my debts and that would really help to make me happy. That isn’t a nice thing to say, but its true. It isn’t a sin though, not unless I do something to realize that goal. I have made the choice to not rob a bank because I don’t want to face the bad things that it would bring about. Even if you promised me that I could get away with it, I still wouldn’t want to do it. I won’t commit that sin, and you can’t condemn me for just thinking about it. I have no INTENT to ever rob a bank.
We all have bad thoughts or temptations now and then; it is how we live our lives that is important. I let my deeds and actions speak for me. Jesus did that and more. He showed you how to live your life; even when faced with a horrible death and public humiliation he clung to the right path and lived his life the way his father would have wanted him to. He wasn’t perfect he made a few mistakes, we all do. The first one that comes to mind is when he was a young teenager he argued against the sages and religious figures of the temple telling them they were wrong. He was too young to be taken seriously and he realized that he needed to be an adult before he could really start his work. The young Jesus also skipped out on his parents to return to the temple and launch his tirade. That experience as a child made him realize Son of God or not he had to obey his human parents. Neither action was a sin. It was not a sin because the INTENT was not sinful.
I can play word games with the bible and the Old Testament, I can come up with a lot of excuses, but I can’t really lie to myself. And no matter how I describe it or wish it to be I know when I have committed a sin. God doesn’t look at just what you did; he also looks at what your intentions were. If I am trying to rush an injured person to the hospital and get in a minor traffic accident, I didn’t commit a sin. And even if you think it was a sin, it is one you would not hold against me, because my INTENTION was good. Now if I was rushing my rich mother to the hospital and making her promise to leave her money to me—that would be a sin. I haven’t actually stolen anything, but my INTENTION would be to do so.
Jesus was not a sinner he was human.

Every man is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust, that is to say temptation is usually something we desire which God has said is not best for us. Just because you are tempted does not mean you have sinned. Sin happens when you cherish the temptation even if you don't have the opportunity to carry it out. Example: Jesus taught that if a man look at a woman lustfully, he was guilty of adultery. ( See James 1:14, 15; Matthew 5:28) Jesus never sinned but relied wholly on the power of God to keep him from sinning. This is the experience we can have when we are "born again", we can live without sin.

Jesus felt the pull of temptation because he was living in a mortal body. Resisting temptation is not a sin. Acknowledging that one is tempted is not a sin. Obsessive contemplation of a sin (fantasizing about it) and of course, giving in to temptation, is sinful.
I am not a christian, but I wonder why so many people get on ANSWERS to try to disprove Christianity. I don't see how their belief is hurting anyone. Why spend so much energy denigrating Christians?

No matter how pure a being is, they can be tempted to make negative acts, that happened in Genesis and it happened again in the new testament. In Genesis, Lucifer fell victim to his own greed and pride, while Adam and Eve fell victim ALSO to their pride of wanting to be great. A pastor friend of mine said; it is symbolic for christians to have a humble and faithful heart to always turn towards God in the hearts, mind and soul in order to transcend all temptations.
It is also a reminder to Christians to not be prideful and ego puffed, if even their Lord Jesus has to be strong to resist temptations even while he was on the cross doing the will of his father, what more all others that are his devotees?
Jesus was humble, gentle, caring and kind. He lived a simple and selfless life, preachers in this modern day are mostly never humble nor gentle in nature, they emulate Paul's wrathful nature instead of the Lord Jesus... yet... only Paul's attitude do they follow... but not the way Paul lead a simple and strict life.

Jesus came to earth, as a man, he was a son of god, but he was still a man, so he got hungry, thirsty tired etc, temptation is something all men/woman have to struggle with...
sin is an act against god, sin is doing something wrong, so if he "Resisted" temptation, he didnt let it affect him, he didnt go along with it, so he remained free from sin......
(If someone tried to get you to steal something really nice, and telling you there was no way you could get caught, and you chose not to, would you still be considered stealing? would you still be considered doing somethign wrong, just because you "Had to say no" to begin with? Even though you told your friend you would not steal a thing, and left?_

fighting temptation is not a sin. Jesus was made human specifically so he would know what we have to endure every day. God does not say that temptation is a sin only acting on that temptation.

Thats not true. Just because you're tempted to do something does not mean you really want to do it. I've been tempted by others to try drugs and after seeing what it does to people over 44 years I sure as HELL dont want to try it.
No Jesus is not a sinner for the fact that sin is committed when you YIELD to temptation.

No Jesus wasn't a sinner because he did not YIELD to temptation - if I want to smack you upside the head for this almost blaspamous (sp?) comment, but I refrain, then I have not sinned - except for lusting, which when it's in your mind is sinning even if you don't commit.

Jesus never sinned.
He was born of man and tempted by the devil.
Temptation is not a sin, it is an opportunity to do the right thing and to show the devil that he is wasting his time with you.
Jesus told the devil, you shall not tempt the Lord your God.
Jesus died innocent of sin.
His was the death of sin(Satan) and your salvation.
---Put it a more understandable way, if some one wants to sell you the Brooklyn bridge does that mean that you wanted to buy it in the first place,
Now if you walk around with a sign saying "wants to buy Bridge" and some one sells you one, then you got what YOU were LOOKING for---
