It all depends on three different factors: length, an experienced braider, and type of your hair. If your hair is super short, say an inch long, a person with experience in cornrowing should be able to grip it; if it is an average texture (not too thin/fine). Keep in mind if you do not go to a professional that you may want to have at least an inch (or more) all around. That includes your edges, sides, and the nape or back of the neck. So, if you have a short cut or an Afro, I recommend you go to an African hair braiding salon because they can work really well for short hair. Otherwise, a person with two or more inches of hair length-any type can have cornrows. I hope this helped you

I do african hair and can't really say on the length. It really depends who is doing it and how experienced they are at it. The more experienced the person the shorter you can have it. I would fully pick your hair and go so some hair place and show them your hair and ask if they can do it. Thats really the only way. Sorry i couldn't be more of a help, just remeber the longer the easier the shorter get a experienced person.

why would you want them? cornrows aka afri-mullet is not a nice hairstyle and you look like you are in a gang if you have them. they look like worms coming out of your head.
