I recently found out that my partner (we are a m-f couple) cheated on me. We have been dating just over 1 year. The cheating started 7-8 months ago. I only had suspicion before, but found evidence that confirmed my "other half" had met someone on Craigslist, took intimate pictures, & then had an email message with them on it. When confronted, I did not give "details", but instead stated my other had to "come clean, be 100% truthful and honest" because I would not SAY what I had discovered. I said that if they did not become truthful about the thing I had found, we would be over. After some "back and forth", it was revealed they had cheated with me with 9 people of the opposite sex & 2 of the same sex. They swear that it was "just a mistake" & will not ever do it again. Through discussion, it was revealed they had been faithful in only a few relationships. I love them & we had been planning marriage & babies throughout the entire cheating time. I can forgive it once. But how to trust?

YOU WILL ALWAYS WONDER! You will wait for the other shoe to drop.

He/she not only cheated once BUT 9 times in 7-8 months. Thats 1 new person a month!! And some of the same sex.

You deserve WAY better. I suggest 1 ) get tested- you want to make sure at least you are 100% clean with yourself 2) seek someone to talk too about this- you may not think its a big deal but unless fixed that crap is BAGGAGE!

Really sit and look at what you are crying over- and what you want to try to spend your life with. Dont you deserve more? Dont you deserve to go to a marriage happy and not "trying to trust". You may be ok now- but any remark he/she says, any time they dont come home on time or anytime they are the computer long- you will question.

You deserve way better. You choose your path in life- hope its a good one!

I don't think that's a good idea! If they cheated NINE times... it probably means theyeve cheated on the others theyd been with... as hard as it might be id cut ties and move on. there are ppl who won't cheat and be loyal honest and faithful...

Once maybe, but nine other sexual partners is unforgivable. I don't see your relationship on firm grounds. Trust is something that is built over time. I wouldn't trust him with a pigeon.
