your question states what Americans will not do?Not a damn thing! Ive worked in restaurants iv scrubbed bathroom floors and toilets. Ive hung chickens and walked through chicken houses infested with rats.Ive crawled around on my hands and knees scraping rotten egg three inches deep off the floor with a scraper.Ive cleaned out electric boxes under machinery infested with maggots ,my husband walked through the chicken houses and gathered carcasses we are both white. Will I do it for 6.50 an hour? Not anymore now i work in poultry still but at least i get paid 10.00 an hour. The fact is the mexicans are working right along side of the whites not doing jobs we wont do if paid enough to survive. Some Americans dont have a good education or the opportunity to go to colledge maybe they are poor and they didnt get really good grades. Some of us are just mediocre .so we work in agriculture and Bush really irritates me by his comments. We are out here doing those jobs he is talking about

Construction jobs are probobly the most popular. Especially in the southwest. I know some people out there who are the foremen over alot of those guys. When it comes to pay day they carry around a suitcase of cash and a gun. What does that say..

Looks like most are not working
http://www.publicagenda.org/issues/factfiles_detail.cfm?issue_type=immigration&list=7
42% not working
32.7 unknown
The list goes on
-- Illegal immigrants can be found working in many sectors of the U.S. economy. About 3 percent work in agriculture; 33 percent have jobs in service industries; and substantial numbers can be found in construction and related occupations (16 percent) and in production, installation and repair (17 percent).

Washing dishes. Why the menial labor? A lot of them cannot read or write English or even speak/understand much English. And that is from experience, has nothing to do with a racist judgement.

A lot are maids and take care of kids! Many work in all kinds of industry!
Many think it is all about what jobs illigals will take away from Americans!
You have it backwards!! It is who in industry want to screw you out of jobs with cheap illegals who they don't have to pay any benifits!
See how your no-bid contracts are used!!
Texas Co. Hired Illegals to Make MREs
McALLEN, Texas, Oct. 28, 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(AP) A Texas employment agency was sentenced to five years of probation for hiring illegal immigrants to work at the nation's top producer of military battlefield rations, federal prosecutors said Thursday.
The Tollin Group was also fined $20,000 and ordered to pay $414,000 in civil penalties Wednesday. It has been barred from Department of Defense contracts for three years.
The San Antonio-based company, which does business as Remedy Intelligent Staffing, pleaded guilty in January to hiring illegal immigrants and trying to cover it up by falsifying employment eligibility forms. The workers were hired for Wornick Co., which makes MREs _ or "meals ready-to-eat."
The investigation was initiated in February 2003 after an al-Qaida operative was arrested with information pointing to McAllen and Wornick as terrorist targets. Wornick had been awarded a $47 million contract to produce more than 1.1 million MREs for U.S. forces in Iraq.
The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force ran background checks on Wornick employees and found hundreds of temporary employees with fraudulent documentation.

many work in construction work, in the chicken processing plants and the meat processing plants. Of course, many legal immigrants work in those places too, so don't lump all together just because of skin color or country of origin.

It's in construction; with the NAFTA in the horizon, I suppose it will continue. I work in real estate, new homes, and all the construction sites show immigrants, though I can't tell you if they are legal or illegal.
