i have 2 profiles on my laptop one of then i can use the key pad but the other doesn't work at all. what can i do to get this working again.

It must be a setting. Try going to the control panel, select keyboard, and make sure that you don't have another keyboard selected for that other profile.

Dont know a lot about laptops and key pad problems but it sounds like maybe some kind of feature, or option is disabled/changed on your other profile. It doesnt make sense otherwise for one profile on the same laptop to work and the other not. Something could just be wrong with the one profile?

Either get a new kepad.Or take off the key clean under it and put it back on. Better yet, just get a new keyboard and attach it to the laptop.

Goto the Device Manager and check if there is a Conflict or if the keyboard is enabled.... it could be disabled for some odd reason.

you can also go into your hrdware check if any program installation might have disturbed its settins,or go to hardware wizard on your lab it will run a diognastic and give you the right feedback
