I am 17 and 5,5 and weigh 112lbs. wear a size 0 in skinny jeans &I worry about my weight so much. i have a therapist ..my aunts getting me a nurtionist. i work out everday and run 6 miles every early moring with the cross country team. i want to weigh 108lbs before school starts. I feel so low in confidence b.c my mom is an alcohlic and has an eating disorder and i look up to her in a way b.c she is my mom. I like nicole richies figure and know that no guys think thats attrative but i do on me. My coller and back and chest bones show..and i like it..but i know its WRONG anf its ruining my life..what shud i do?

Try eating!! Your too skinny and thats nasty!! The only place THAT skinny will get you is death. Not cool!! You should weigh AT LEAST 125 and thats for a height of 5'2

You know that you have a problem, that is the first step. When you go to the nutritionist, make sure you get an eating plan. Tell her you have a problem and you need strict rules at this time, not guidelines for healthy eating. Keep a food journal and write down everything you eat. When you meet your goals for a week, reward yourself -- get your nails done or get a facial or something. But be honest, you only get the reward if you eat what you are supposed to eat.

Having a therapist is great, because you definitely need one. Make sure you are honest with your therapist.

Mom, is Mom, I am sure Mom has some great qualities that you can admire. You must realize that alcoholism and eating disorders are illnesses not admirable qualities.

Nicole Richies figure is the product of plastic surgeons, air brushes and people who alter and fit her clothes to her. She does not look any better then you do, or anyone else does.

Now, go and call some friends, forget about your weight and have a piece of pizza. ENjoy life.

If you really want to get better you are going to have to get out of your mind that you want to lose more weight before school. You are very thin as it is, the things with eating disorders is that you will have a distorted image of what your body really looks like. I have always thought I was fat and when I was at my lowest weight I had friends tell me that it wasn't cute anymore and that I looked really sick. I'm trying to recover now, but it's the hardest things I've ever done and i'm still struggling. The first step towards recovery is admitting you have a problem, but nothing will come from therapy and the nutritionist if you don't put their advice into action..i learned this one the hard way. I'm sorry to hear about this. I think you should continue with the therapy, but you need to find something else to focus on other than your weight, such as maybe considering doing some charity work or taking up a new hobby. If you continue like this, you will end up in very poor health and may have all kinds of long term health problems. I really hope that you can overcome this, but when your mum won't even help herself, I understand why it would be very difficult. I wish you luck. Take care : )

Sweetie, you need to find your true value. Your value comes not from how others view you or even from what you think of yourself. You are valuable because you are made in the image of God, and He made you perfectly. He wants you to be healthy, not necessarily skinny.

Be more concerned about being healthy instead of skinny. Think Angelina Jolie's body instead of Nicole Richie. Try to eat more fruits and veggies, and lift some weights to build sexy muscle. I'm guessing you have a very low body fat percentage, so adding more protein (tuna, chicken, red meat) to your diet will not make you fat, but will help you build muscle, but you will continue to look slim. The running is great for you. Keep it up.

Try not letting other people decide for you how you should look. All those clelebrites are fake as hell. Just because THis person or THAT boy or girl doesn't like the way you look doesn't mean that you should bow at thier feet! Be your own person! Too skinny is not pretty! gain some weight, it's not going to kill you! Boens sticking out isn't attractive, it makes you look sickly. Put on some weight, it'll make you look and BE healthy!

Keep up your goal of 108lbs. I'm 17 also 5,4 and weigh 97-99lbs (depends on how much I keep in). You can't fight the truth that most people today have to look like nicole richie to look good. skinny is in. fat is out. its not wrong that your bones are showing. nicole richies bones also show and you see how much attention she is getting.

You know that you are skinny on the inside, but when you look at yourself in the mirror you think you are fat. It is natural for us to do so because of the way we compare ourselves to other ppl. Nicole Richie is even trying to gain weight because she knows she is underweight. So if you are trying to look like someone who herself does not think she is at the right weight, then how can you be confident in yourself. You must also build up your self-esteem by telling yourself the good things that you like about your body. I myself think that i need to lose weight ( i am 5'6" and 113lbs) but by telling myself that i dont and building up my self esteem i am able to overcome the insecurity.

I really do not know what you should do and I wish I could help you. I have an eating disorder and it has really taken over my life. I wish I could just tell you to start eating and not care... but its not that easy, is it? I will hope for you

I like my girls skinny, but it's not attractive when your bones are showing. Go eat some deep fried foods and call it a day.
