detetion......
Reason: On Friday my teacher let us out a couple of minutes late, but we still had time to get to our next class...
I had to cross the whole campus, and this guy I am crushing on was walking behind me... So when we got into the building he went to his locker and I went to mine, and I was just staring at him for like 5 minutes...
Then I got to class, and was tardy, so I got detetion...
So is staring at a hot guy, a stupid reason for being late to class and getting a detetion??

well you shouldn't get detention if the teacher let you out minutes late even if you do have time to get to your next class it's good to be let out on time. and no its not stupid it's just what some girls do :) hope that helps and im sorry you got detention.

No,you not only disrupt the class it rude showing up late for a class.The teacher has to stop so you can sit down and get settle in to class.

Well it is a human reason for getting detention, the question is are you going to let your feelings for the guy destabilize your life and ruin your grades/standing in school? School and your record are important. Balance your feelings vs. what you are required to do. Do not let your feelings for him destabilize your life. It reflects poorly on you.

i dont know..but alot of teachers are power-hungry and it makes them feel goot to know that they are making your life a living nightmare. when i was in grade 10 (im now in 12) i got a 25 hour detention because i didnt come to school for a basketball tournament (that i wasnt playing in, and had already bought my ticket for) because i had bronchitis. doctors note, parent note, and i had no voice and was killing myself coughing..and he didnt believe it and i got a detention...my only advice is try to avoid distractions like that and try to get onto the teachers good side or else its only going to get worse
