Is this a good camera to just take random pictures with, also, can you film movies?

don't listen to balrog, kodak is a good camera and yes it takes good pictures and videos.

My mom has this camera and it takes pretty good pictures. Comes with good software too. I haven't seen any movies from it yet, but I know that it can take them.

don't buy a kodak easyshare
the picture quality is horrible and the interface is counterintuitive
buy a sony,casio, or nikon

You can take some nice photos with this camera. It does have hshort vieo as well with this camera.
