You're dealing with entry level fast food workers and they are being pushed to get the items processed quickly and they are concentrating on the food. I just always check my bag and ask for napkins. They sometimes need help remembering these minor items when they have several cars waiting for service. I don't think they are trying to be forgetful, but it can be really stressful just trying to make sure they get the right food to the right customer.

Thats not so bad. Today I went to a fast food place(I wont mention the name so I dont get sued), I ordered a sandwich and when I got home it was the wrong one. When I went back there was a women in front of me complaining about her hamburger. They put bacon in it but forgot the hamburger. I demanded the right sandwich and a refund for the inconvience, and guess what, I got it. I think they were smoking something there today.

Because as a culture we, and I include myself, are exceedingly wasteful, and there are rare companies who actually are trying to address this by letting the customers ask for the extras.
Did you see the article about the people who collected something like three BARRELS full of taco sauce packages then delivered them back to Taco Bell, unannounced.
OR........they are paid minimum wage and have not the appropriate skills for even that menial a job.
BTW, there are soooooo many freebies here. In Europe, you don't get water with a meal unless you pay for it, same with ice.

I always ask for xtra napkins & ketchup & check my order & count my change, it only takes 30 seconds. I never have any problems. The employees only make $5.15 an hr. I hope this will help you out.

Thats the trouble with the world today, you take things for granted. Just because its fast food, why should they think you are going to eat it right away, unless you are so cheap that you collect the napkins and supply your house with them. You have the audacity to ask a question here, why cant you ask for napkins, PLEASE!!!!!!!!

That happens to me all the time as well.
I've noticed that McDonald's seems to be the worst in that regard. It seems like if they mess something up, it's usually my kids' order which leads to bawling and whining and my having to drive back and waste my time to get something that I already paid for but didn't receive. And to boot - half of the time they don't even apologize! : |

You're lucky you get a fork. I quit fast food, but before that, every time I ordered anything, if I didn't look in the bag, it was guaranteed something was missing.

Why don`t you just keep a roll of paper towels in the car?
If it`s that much a problem use your head.
