Hey Roxanne,
I asked the same thing when I first found this site. I think all Christians do.
The reason they're here is that their delusion requires that they be the enlightened ones who can lead us out of the cloud of our religious fantasy if we would only listen to their sage wisdom.
What they fail to understand is that we used to think like them before we met Jesus Christ, so we know they're in darkness.
Their ego won't allow that we understand something they can't or won't comprehend, thus their delusion must grow to the proportion of our insistence that they are wrong.
Isn't it amazing, that the same sun that melts the wax, hardens the clay.

Do you own this (or any other Yahoo) site? People have a right to speak their mind anywhere. Rude and polite people appear in all of the sites.
Just because a person might not believe in your idea of God does not mean that that person has no right here. This is a "Religion & Spirituality" site, not a "My Religion Only" space.
If you don't like rude people making comments, then don't start something with rude comments telling people that they are not welcome here. Practice what you supposedly preach and don't start something with the name-calling ("sorry souls"). Or is that your idea of Godly love?

Why do so many theists think they are stockholders in Yahoo? This isn't a religion site. There ar eplenty of religion sites you can go to and only hear what you want to hear. This is a discussion site for religion and spirituality, neither of which by necessity involve your god.

I hope that you do not consider me rude....but this site is about religion and spirituality. I do believe in God, and I accept that some people I will not agree with, but I won't tell them they are "wrong". The concept of spirituality is about finding or following a path to a higher power and however a person chooses that path....is fine with me.
"Love thy neighbour as thyself"......"Judge not lest ye be judged". I think I read something like that in the Bible. I live by those statements. (try to at least).
I just ignore the questions that I cannot answer with either humour or minimal judgement.

I've read as many rude responses from born-again evangelicals as I have from atheists.
When people respond, despite their religious beliefs, in a rude and simplistic way, it makes people defensive and leaves little chance for people to see your point.
So, in short, all I can say is: this site would be a whole lot better if ALL people (Christians included) responded with class and an open-mind. (I am a Christan)
Peace.

Perhaps you skipped over it but it is the Religion AND Spirituality section. They are 2 separate things. This section is open to all those who have a belief or lack of belief system. One can be spiritual without needing 'God' as a crutch.

Yep and people like you are exceptionally sorry.
Since when did you have to believe in god to have an opinion on religion?

Cry me a river, Miss Perfection. You sound like a really terrific ambassador for God, judging people wrongly as you do. Hypocrisy and self-righteousness at its worst!

Only if you promise your churches are going to stop telling us all (believers and unbelievers alike) what we may or may not do in our private lives... And if you promise your churches will stop lobbying for parliaments to pass laws based upon religious values and principles that we should not be forced to respecting. Is that a deal?
Or else, please promise you will at least read and discuss what we post, rather than just nag us for posting.
