Hey, they have all kinds of cool stuff for the older kids too... Don't be embarrased to take one. It will be worse if you don't and you drop it all going down the hall. Good luck on the first day!!

If you have a lot of stuff to carry and you're worried about looking dorky on the first day of school, try a messenger bag. It's big enough to carry a laptop but still cool enough to wear casually.
Cool ain't in the clothes or the gear though. Personally, I don't think people will really notice one way or the other.

First off, goodluck.
Secondly, yes, you should. I had a couple of classes that gave out books on the first day and I also had a class that started teaching and giving notes. Regardless of books, you will be getting stuff to take home, so unless you want to carry it in your arms, bring it.

Yes, bring it. Put your notebook and pencils, pens in it. After that first day of having mostly air in it you will wish it was like that for the rest of the year because the second day it will be heavier.

it doesn't matter. If you think you're going to have some stuff to carry around that you don't want to then bring it. but if you feel like you can handle whatever they give you without a backpack then don't.

Yes,bring it,you can carry all the the things that make you compfy,d'ont worry what any one thinks there thinking the same thing.Be your self,you know you want to,so just do it,you might set an example for others,walk in like you know what your doing.

You won't need it on the first day. I usually just carry around a binder on the first day. Pretty much everyone carrys a backback, so dont worry about. Just don't get one of those backbacks on wheels. People will make fun of you and maybe even give you a swirly.

i would...unless you don't have hardly any stuff to bring...it's not "uncool" to bring a backpack. in college...everyone does for the most part because of all the s**t you have to carry.

you should bring it with some paper and pens. you never know what your teacher will do on the first day and they might give you books, so yeah.

I have not been in High-School for a while but I don't see how you would get by without one. It was always an essential item for me. I would. If no one else does they will regret it and you will be prepared. Definetly.
