Okay i have this friend who recently started sitting with new people at lunch (she didnt sit wit me b4 so no harm done!) and now after this dance one of the guys asked her out and she said yes, and now shes all "I love him!" and crap and i dont believe she really does... she never hinted that she liked him before and i honestly think that (she's not exactly 'Popular' if u kno wat i mean) she only said yes BECAUSE he liked her.. not because she actually liked him... Do you agree or no.. and why!?

Okay first off u ppl do not understand.. i may say that ppl shouldnt like 'Discriminate' against age ... but there IS a big difference between highschool teens and middleschool teens... and we're in middleskool. and when i said 'popular' i wasnt trying to say that she literally wasnt popular (but that is also tru) but she doesnt exactly get asked out every day.

Maybe she's just in love with the fact that someone off the opposite sex is paying attention to her.

Okay I am assuming by your post that you might be young like still in school so that prefaces my answer. If you are then understand that the teenage girl is trying to find acceptance and when a young man show her some attention it might have a bearing on her. I can assure you that if you are her friend and not jealous because she is spending her time with other people then the new will wear off and eventually if you remain the great friend she has always trusted you to be she will come back around to your friendship. However, if you are feeling jealous because you thought she was solely yours then I would suggest you think about why you are feeling jealous. It might do you good to do a little soul searching here.

I agree, she's only going out for him because she thinks she can bring up her popularity stats. When obviously she's not that popular. Girls like her will do anything to get notice. Don't let her get to you. If you do then she knows that she's center of attention and you don't want that.

Both. If she said yes, she has to like him at least a little bit. No because if she's not popular, she could be doing it to "fit in" with the people that are "cooler" than her.

I agree, but that's the way high school is. It's about gaining that popularity.

One must like themselves first. Don't worry about it friends come and go but ones self respect is more important then who you sit with! If i may ask do you like him and it hurt your feelings dear?

Maybe she was too embarassed to say she liked him, or maybe she did just say yes because he likes her. Either way, she hasnt done anything wrong so let her have her fun, though to me, it sounds like someone's jealous..........
