Depends on what you find romantic.
I remember reading an interview with Pink, where she said that the most romantic thing her boyfriend did for her was vomit with her when she had a hangover.

If someone wants to do something romantic, they should really get to know you and find out what you really like. For example, every thanksgiving your dad overcooks the turkey and you told your boyfriend that. So next time when you see your boyfriend, he would overcook the chicken/turkey signifying that he rememberd what you said. The most romantic someone can do is putting their effort to make you happy.

the most romantic thing someone can do for me is by caring for me, always staying with me all time, candle light dinner, holding my hands and getting wet in rain, holding my arms tightly and sitting sticking so close to me, sitting together in winter near a fire place which has burning woods and at last i expect a sincere and a sweet kiss which can last as long as possible @};-

I always liked just renting a movie, dimming the lights and cuddleing on the floor with a bottle of wine and some snacks such as cheese, crackers and smoked mussels or oysters.

alone time with something special planned... it doesn't really matter what the special thing is as long as some thought was put into it.
I had a boyfriend that told me to dress up and come to his house. He cooked me dinner and then took me out to get photos taken of the 2 of us together. It was really special because he spent time planing it.
