i have thick, naturally wavy/curly, frizzy hair, okay what I do is blow dry my hair when I get out of the shower with a flat brush and brush my hair with the dryer drying those parts. Dry your whole head and when your done YOU BETTER BELIEVE YOUR HAIR IS GONNA LOOK LIKE A POOF SORTA. okay, now take a ceramic flat iron, one that's small enough to get close to your head with and start to straighten your hair from the bottom up pinning up the frizzy loose hair with a claw hair thingy (forgot what it's called) when your done get some hair spray and just lightly mist the top of your head to keep any flyaways done. ANOTHER WAY is to take a shower the night before, sleep with your hair wet, and when you get up in the morning it should be soft and then just iron it the same way from the bottom up!!!

AND JOHN FRIEDA DOESN'T WORK FOR ME AND THIS METHOD YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE ANY SPECIAL STRAIGHTENING PRODUCT EXCEPT FOR THE FLAT IRON! MAKE SURE IT'S CERAMIC THOUGH!! doesn't damage your hair as much!

I use a ceramic flat iron. I have frizzy hair and when it's still damp, I put a little bit (pea size drop) of serum. Try Glass by Redken. Other good anti frizz products are flat out by Sebastian (?)-the shampoo, conditioner, and serum, and anti-frizz by John Frieda. If your hair is very curly, don't brush it when it is partially or fully dry otherwise you will end up with a ball of frizz. Put anti frizz serum when it is still damp, fully blow dry your hair then straighten it with a flat iron, and apply a little bit more of serum to keep it straight and shiny looking versus dry and brittle. Go to a beauty supply store (not Sally's) that carries salon products and get some samples/trial sizes. Also, go to an upscale salon to get your hair cut and dried. The stylist will be able to recommend good products for your hair type. There are really good products out there to fight frizz and are great for thick hair. You may need something that will replenish the moisture in your hair as well as tame it. Good luck!

First of all, u need an anti-frizz shampoo and conditioner. Try sunsilk. If you don't flat iron correctly u'll get ur hair even frizzier.
If ur hair's thick use a shampoo for that or just ask the hairstylist to thin ur hair.

When flat ironing, i like to use Alberto's Heat Protection. It smells good, works well and helps leave the hair smooth and un frizzy.

Straighten ur hair in parts. Divide ur head into sections and iron each part. Make sure u do under ur hair too because the bottom will show through to the top and it'll look wierd if u hav straight hair on top and wavy hair under.

Also try the Loreal Straightening cream for ironing. Its in a hot pink bottle and works very well leaving hair shiny.

Good luck!

methods: just make sure you section your hair and don't rush it. products: when towel drying your hair, make sure you don't do it briskly, rubbing the hair strands together like that causes frizz. Avoid brushing, try finger combing it after you apply leave in conditioner (spray or cream form- i'd recommend cream since your hair is thick). Then spray in a thermal spray (Matrix Iron Smooth Shine is an excellent product). Let your hair air dry or blowdry, then straighten your hair. When you've finished, smooth the ends of your hair with a shine serum or varnish (Biosilk Silk Therapy is amazing), but only the ends, you don't want to end up greasy. This seems like a lot of work but once you get into the habit of doing it, you'll end up with beautiful hair every day!

My hair is also thick and Xtremely frizzy when brushed. Tried various products & straightening irons and by far the CHI ceramic flat iron is the best.

The last touch after ironing, I use got2be glossy anti-frizz. Leaves your hair soo silky and has a great scent to it.

I highly recommend Fructis Sleek&Shine by Garnier shampoo and conidtioner. Your hair is left soo sleek, that I can barely get my naturally curly/wavy hair to curl.
Hope that helps!

I use a Cricket ceramic flat iron. But first I spray on Turn Up The Heat that I purchased at Sally's Beauty Supply so the heat doesn't damage hair. I also use a glaze product afterwards that makes hair shiney and smells good too.

My hair is curly but really soft...so it's really fast and easy to straighten my hair. I use a hair condition after shampooing..I usually use a normal blowdryer when the voltage is 220, but when the voltage is 110 I use a hair straightner (iron plates or cermaic..etc). There are products that you can use too since you mentioned that your hair is frizzy, but you don't wanna use any products not to mess your hair up.

I also have thick, frizzy, curly hair. I use a spray that I bought at my salon that I go to, it's called Due Faccetta Massimo. the lady that cuts my hair says it protects your hair and controls frizz. it leaves your hair smelling good&shiny. I straighten my hair a little at a time starting with a half ponytail. hope that helps:)

i have super think and frizzy hair too. the only products i use are Garnie Fructice *however you spell it* shampoo and cond. thats it. and i used a ceramic straighter. see, i dont use and "products" in my hair cuz it messes up the straighter. its like ur hairspray or gell is heated onto the straighnter and it doesnt heat up as good after awhile.
you can also get a wet/dry ceramic straighter. those work really well too.
