I just found out about the genocide that has been going on in Darfur and throughout the Sudan for about a year now... In this "War on Terrorism" how come we only fight the "terrorists" in the Middle East but not the ones killing innocent people everyday in Africa or South America?

I agree that it is unconscionable that the media haven't tried harder to keep us informed. I think this is, indeed, a part of the world-wide conflict that is developing. Sadly, we are limited in what our military can do, and we are currently fighting to keep terrorists out of the U.S. more than anything else. Al Qaeda agrees that Iraq is the center of the conflict now, and our presence in that arena has at least kept the enemy busy outside our borders. The news media don't always do the right thing. For instance, CNN knew about many atrocities under Saddam, but did not report the truth because they knew the Iraqi government would no longer give them access to the country. They chose deception in order to be able to say "we have reporters in Iraq." This could affect their profits.

Because they're Christians.

A similar situation is going on in China. In China, Christians are by far the most persecuted religious group, but you wouldn't know it from the media coverage. You'd think that Falun Gong was.

the weapons industry is big business,no different than the liquor company's or tobacco.they will find someone or something to market there products.if a war does not exist then they will invent one.its a vicious cycle.when the average man wakes up and speaks out things will change.its amazing to me how a candidate will get elected and all his campaign platform suddenly flys out the window, why?because he is told what is really going on,and that he must participate.even if it means killing innocent people.PRAY FOR PEACE!!

Christians are in actual fact, persecuted in many parts of the world, & yet, the media pays **VERY** little attention to it.

The only time the media does pay attention to Christians is usually to portray an extremely negative view of the people.;-0

Good question...It is pretty much ignored except by people like Angelina Jolie....She tries to draw as much attention to the corruption of the Congo in Africa and similar villages.

Somebody needs to strike some oil there, quick.

I also find it disgusting that Christians in the USA talk about how "persecuted" they are or will be, when there are real places where real Christians are really being persecuted like this.
