I am not sure what you mean about a *potato bake* recipe, but I have a good potato casserole recipe:
make mashed potatoes (from a box or fresh); follow the directions
then add:...3 eggs (you can use egg white or egg substitute)
1 stick of margarine
1/2 cup of milk
sprinkle of garlic powder and/or dehydrated onion
(to taste)
Beat all of those ingredients together with a mixer until well mixed and frothy.
Spray a casserole dish with PAM (or similar spray)
Pour potato mixture into dish
Bake for 20 minutes in 350 F oven
Sprinkle with shredded cheese and put back into oven for about 10 minutes

Serve. To my family and friends it almost tastes like a twice baked potato.

I like taking a baking potato, cleaning up the skin, cutting a big slice lengthwise and then put the potato in the microwave for between 4-7 minutes (until it's soft). Then I take it out, and put a couple of American cheese slices inside the open slit and possibly some broccoli.

That white sauce is more than likely sour cream. I like to use canned chili (heated on the stove top first) and some cheddar on my baked potatoes. I also sprinkle each "new" spot of potato I see bite after bite with salt. I can't stand non-salted potatoes.

1)clean baking potato
2)poke holes in it with a fork or butterknife
3)place in microwave (check microwave for time suggestions)
4)when "baked", remove and let cool
5)cut in half and enjoy!

p.s.-the potato will usually take less time to cook if you soak it for a few minutes before putting it in the microwave
