Bless his heart! And shame on those that allowed him to get to this point! I feel for HIS situation and the current dilemma of how to clothe him.
4 years old and over weight? I understand your immediate concern is where to find clothing for him? And that is an issue for sure. But please address his weight issue in a tender and compassionate manner at a later date?
Without knowing the severity of his over weight I can only say to shop for the HUSKY sizes found in most major department stores like Sears and maybe JC Penny or Mervyns.
Or check out these websites.

..........some parents are buying "plus size" clothing for their overweight children. This is a major mistake! This size of clothing is meant to address "larger bodies" NOT children and their personal fashion dilemmas.
Age groups demand to "fit in", thus to clothe the child in adult over-sized clothing will cause ridicule and emotional upset.

Alot of the department stores carry husky sizes with adjustable waists, I've seen them at Mervyn's and Kohl's too. Try Children's place they seem to have clothes for all sizes of kids. Good luck

If you have a Children's Place near you, the clothes are great quality and they are adjustable.
