I met this guy from online in person. he's a doctor, and kind of cute basically any woman's dream...He told me that he felt uncomfortable with me becasue he thougth that I was much skinnier than I am. I am a little overweight but very pretty. I feel so bad especially because I am just getting over an abusive relationship. I just left and let him keep the small gift I gave him. But i feel sooo bad about myself.

You should not feel bad about yourself, and you should not let anyone make you feel bad. You will find someone that will like you for who you are so dont worry about him. Their is someone out that that is waiting for you!!

The absolutely most important thing is to concentrate on whether or not someone makes you HAPPY. Not excited, not on tenterhooks - though those are good they can be deceptive. This guy definitely did not make you happy so he is out. As soon as someone makes you doubt yourself: your own self worth, attractiveness etc., they are BAD NEWS. They might not be bad people but they are meant for somebody else (or a monastery/cave). Its important to have a kind of good selfishness where you recognise whether someone is making you feel better and happier in life (like love should) or worried and trying to meet expectations (bad and untenable in the long run). Many men and even more women (the "women love bastards" thing) do this often and you should try to avoid it. You must avoid the victim mentality and choose the actions that make you like yourself more: spending time with friends, dancing, laughing, eating delicious foods and having good sex with trustworthy giving and deserving partners. Have faith - when you like yourself and love life the men will come running. No one in their right minds could give a toss about love handles. Do you??? Of course not!!!

Okay, first of all smile and be grateful. You have so much more potential more than a trophy wife or girlfriend. I would like to think that you are willing to love unconditionally and you should expect the same in return. If you are honest with yourself the turn on was in medical degree and being taken care of! Take care of yourself and look and love yourself for who you are. If you want to lose a few pounds do it for yourself!
Don't worry about this guy, he is very shallow and materialistic, concentrate on a man who will love you completely, these kind give you the ultimate happiness. Good luck!

He's a jerk for making u feel this way( Dr. Jerk) so for get him, he shouldn't have judged u like that,I guess he's just another one of those guys who because he has a great profession, and he has power he doesn't care about how he makes others feel. I hope he's a better Dr then he is a date. And when u think about it, I wonder why he would go online to find a date, I would think him bing a Dr he would have to go looking online for a date.

So maybe he did u a favor by being a jerk, so don't be upset for too long sweetie.

He must be a loser

How can you let this man who you don't know very well cause you to feel this way? Only you can allow this to happen. Turn around, and walk away from this man and find someone who can really love you without any abuse. You are worth more than you realize.

Don't date for a year. Hang out with friends on the weekend. Give yourself time to think things out enough to make an informed and intelligent decision.

Eh?? Dr. Jerk lost his cuteness? If you have read any of answers to the questions about what men prefer...skinny or not....It appeared to me that the vast majority of men prefer some meat on a woman. You need to up your standards on a man like one with class!!
