i know this is a hard question to answer but i need feedback. ok, i am so afraid of commitment. the model of my parents has not exactly been the best to follow at all. i know it is because i am really afriad of rejection and because i do not want to expose my vulnerable side to anyone, but how do i get over this?

Think of commitment as a one-day-at-time think instead of putting so much pressure on yourself.

I know where ya coming from on the parents thing! Mine are divorced. My mom re-married, and got another divorce! It killed me when she divorced again! I was older when he left. Then when I started to date......................omg!! I'm exactly the same way you are! Then I found this man and knew he was the one for me. I got this feeling inside me that I never had before! We also told each other that we were tired of the "head games" and we were both ready to settle down! :) It still bothers me when that same question comes to my head. I think possitive, and know that he loves me. I'm glad I married him! So....it will always hang with you if you let it!

You just have to go for it. Believe me, love is well worth the risk of getting hurt. As humans we have the ability to bounce back from almost anything. It's nothing to be afraid of. Don't you want someone to give their all to you? You have to do the same for them.
