For my HP Pavilion zv5000 Notebook PC, and lost my sound. I did it on accedent as I was cleaning up my computer. I went to the website, and downloaded another sound driver, but it won't install.

It tells me it doesn't see a driver, and I should try to reboot.

Now I'm guessing that my PC is HP Pavilion zv5000, but all I found on my laptop was HP Pavilion zv5000.

Any help?

You need to I.D. the soundcard, then download the correct driver for it. Sign up for this free account, and search their database, it will have it. Good Luck

What you have to do is delete the driver that you installed then reboot.Download the driver again and install it again. It should work now. Make sure you add the driver through the add new hardware.
