Shes a criminal she used a phony Social Security card and was deported before. All she is trying to do is stay her azz out of jail .She is a fake and will be deported along with her anchor baby or let the child stay with relatives and get welfare or SSI..Either way the taxpayers are footing the bill...I feel no sympathy for her or anyone else that comes here illegally.
Note she worked at the Chicago Airport not in a Mexican business.
A new legislation proposed by the Senate was published to day along with one from the House.
Both are pretty good and far too long to post here
one part of the bill says this ::
Illegal immigrants that have been in the US for 5 yrs or more can get green cards .if they pay $3250.00 in finds and fees, pass a criminal back ground check, pay back taxes on their wages and must learn English. it also would declare English as the national language of the US
12,000 additional Border Patrol and fences among other things. It was in my morning paper ,find a place you can read it ,It makes sense,I wish it was stronger but I could live with this new legislation .I hope it passes. Tell your Senators and Representatives you are behind it .

yeah, lighten up. the fact that she doesn't speak english has affected you how? every country in the world (of reasonable population) has a population that speaks multiple languages. sure, she should learn english, but maybe she's been too busy busting her *** to raise a family on diddly squat. when life is constantly pressing on you, a little thing like learning a new language that isn't even spoken in your community can easily get passed over.
you speak a little spanish? why don't you spend some time teaching english to immigrants, if it's that important to you.
tiff, honey, our street and highway system is specifically designed with the assumption that not all people driving can read english. that's why all the street signs have those bright colors and nice symbols.

That's strange. After living in a country for 9 years, you should be able to know at least some of the language. However, if she lived in a Hispanic community where mainly Spanish was spoken, then maybe that's why she hasn't picked up English. It's still a little odd though. Maybe she's just shy and doesn't like speaking English. That's how I am with Spanish. I speak it terribly so I don't like speaking it in front of my Spanish speaking friends.

I'm seen Americans who have taken time to learn the language of my country when they planned on staying there for a considerable period of time so I think those who plan on living/staying here more or less permanently should also learn to speak English. A common language promotes better communication.

Man, I'd love to stick you in rural India or China and watch you squirm.
A new language is not easy to learn, and many people who come to the Unites States find communities and media such that they do not need to learn it. The United States is not an English colony anymore, and there is nothing wrong with there being a diversity of languages here.
If someone doesn't learn English, what do you care? Is it hurting you? Does someone else not know English deprive you of any opportunities or resources? No, it doesn't. You only care because you are a racist prick and like picking on defenseless people. Very nice of you.

No I know a lot about this woman and she's just giving all illegals a bad image. See, CNN, FOX, etc. focus on cases like hers who do nothing but harm the country. They never focus on the positive cases of illegal immigrants so that's why most Americans now look at illegal immigrants (and often, all hispanics) in a bad way. But screw it, if you're 100% against illegal immigration it's because you have no education at all and don't know what the crap is going on, you just let yourself be driven by what the media says.

You hit the nail on the head. One of the differences between illegal Hispanic immigrants, (many) legal Hispanic immigrants, and other immigrants both legal and illegal is that the Hispanic people do not seem to want to assimilate into the American society. They want instead to use our resources but remain separate. That is not what immigration is supposed to be about. If someone wants to come here legally and be an American then they should also want to speak English, adopt our traditions and customs and uphold our laws. They also should not expect the citizens of this country to pay their way.

If a person is going to come into our country and work our jobs and drive cars on our roads, they should be able to read and speak english. Why should we go out of our way to accomodate them, they would do that for us

As someone else said..if all the government offices provide all their information in spanish (as well as other languages)..you really can't blame the immigrant for not having learnt English...there's no incentive!

you dont need to speak english to be a citizen, but the problem is if you cant you really limit you legitimate job opportunities. if you cant hold a job then you really arent doing much for the country. being an american citizen should be beneficial for both the country and the individual.
