There is a place that the Bible gives for those who die--the grave. In 1 Samuel, the prophet was conjured up for the pathetic king Saul who was at the end of his rope. Samuel said that Saul was going to join him--in the grave. Still, the end of Ecclesiastes, after all those metaphors for death, and actually in a few lines before that last chapter as well, indicates that there is a separation, and a judgment, by which humans will be segregated based on God's good (or bad) pleasure concerning our lives. Jesus described it with a story of a rich man and a beggar named Lazarus. The one when to a place of torment and the other a place more pleasant, translated into the King James English, a place called Abraham's bossom, or as Jesus told the thief on the cross who implored an honorable mention, "paradise". This is to say there is a good place, and a distinctly uncomfortable place--the latter we often and euphamistically, call hell. Jesus also spoke of a place of eternal punishment, such as in Matthew 25, a place of pain and anguish.

Then there is the Revelation 20 description. Satan and those depicted in the cataclysmic "last days" will be drawn for a final judgment, before a great white throne. They will be thrown into a lake of fire. After that, all the souls that have ever lived are assembled and judged. It says that books are opened which contain record of our deeds, or perhaps misdeeds. Then still another book is consulted, the Book of Life. Whatever the others say, if one is listed in the Book of Life, then they are spared, else they are also thrown into the lake of fire.

Best, though, is the next chapter, where to those who remain after that great and terrible judgment, God will wipe away every tear, making a new heaven and a new earth. We, upon whom God has shown mercy, have a home in which we no longer suffer or sick or are pained or grow old. Gold, instead of being of great value is pavement material. There is indeed a new life and it will be great.

Jesus said, if I believe in God, and I do, then I should believe on him, and I do. Jesus said that in his father's house are many rooms. Jesus said that he was going there to prepare a place--even for me. So I trust him and try not to disappoint him too much.

My God I believe in is a good wise and awesome God who would never inflict harm or pain upon even the most sinful or the most evil such that I believe the hell and heaven we have in the end is of our own creation.
There would be no more just and correct punishment than to be made an empath a psychic who could hear feel and experience that which they did which was terrible that which they are responsible that is related to suffering.
And heaven would be the lack of suffering peace tranquility for me as my own creation and objective while still here on earth.
but I like the answer about not being able to spell or open bottle caps alot

I'm not really sure.. and yes they are described in the bible but not everything in the bible is literal.. so i can understand why there would still be question... I think that hell will basically just be the absence of God.. so whatever that is.. not a very good thing at all.. and heaven is eternity with God.. so a very good thing.. that's all I got.. it can be interpreted many ways..

The prime concern of Buddhism is our life-state, the joy or suffering we experience at each moment. This is always seen as an interaction between external conditions and inner tendencies; the same conditions (the same workplace, for example) that will be experienced by one person as unremitting misery may be a source of exhilarating challenge and satisfaction to another. Strengthening our inner state so that we are able to resist and even transform the most difficult and negative conditions is the purpose of Buddhist practice.

Hell--a condition of despair in which one is completely overwhelmed by suffering
Heaven-is a state of joy typically experienced when desire is fulfilled or suffering escaped.

All conversations with everyone in Hell resemble text messages. Everyone shouts in all caps. No one can spell.

In Heaven, the spell-check that Saint Peter operates is widely used.

Heaven: eternal joy and celebration in the glory of God. Boundless happiness without pain, or suffering, or death. No sickness or disease. Enlightenment in truth and knowledge from God that is beyond our wildest imaginations. Love so far reaching and so deep... that there really are no words for it.

Hell: Damnation. Eternal pain, suffering, hate. Hate that burns hotter than any fire we could ever imagine. Evil. Cold. Alone. Evil and hate so vile that there is no cure for, fix. It is pure, furious hate. And it is permanent. Suffering worse than the worst possbile suffering any human could endure on earth. Completely cutoff from the light and love of God. An eternity of cursing God. Death.

Hell is like.
Luke 16:23 "And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and saw^ Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luke 16:24 "And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.'

As for heaven---I do not know there is no description given--
only this----1 Cor 2:9 but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."
It is not revealed.

our earthly minds cannot even perceive what it will be like. Hell will be an eternal pain worse than this world can bring. Heaven will be so magnificent.
