it is barbequed pork. Kind of reddish around the margins, oval shaped. It is yummy!

There is sesame beef but I don't think that's dipped in hot mustard and sesame seeds. What you're probably talking about is sweet pork because that most certainly comes out red and the hot mustard is a popular dip for that. The Asian restaurant is most likely Vietnamese I'm guessing.

Sesame Beef? It's often served very rare, so you might be thinking of the red color there. . .And you usually dip it in a spicey mustard.
