I am being serious now.
Why are Chinese more accepted in the US than Indians?
People are always like “Where the **** did all the Indians come from? They should go home!”
But Chinese people are accepted. People are like, man that Chinese chick is hot!

Why is this?

I dont' accept your generalization. I see more Indians that have moved into corporate management, venture capital, and technical innovation (within US companies) than Chinese. I believe this may be due to better English skills or western-style education.

However, if I were to accept your premise I would probably attribute it to the fact that the Chinese were brought to the US in great numbers in the past two centuries to be treated as slave labor. They have grown into a large and valued segment of society. In contrast, Indians (Asian Indians that is ;-) were never exploited in the same way by Americans. I believe we left that task to the British.

About the only time I hear the "go home" type of comment is on the highway and it is usually more along the lines of "learn to stay to the right or stay home!"

I think people have really come to respect the self discipline of Orientals over the years.

I think we just aren't as familiar with Indians, yet. It wasn't so long ago when, if you said 'Indian' we would think you meant 'Native American'.

I know some Indians I think are really great (brilliant and creative), and some that bug me. I don't know any really closely, though.

I don't have any preconceptions with Indians one way or the other.

I don't think a particular race would be more accepted than others in a foreign country.

It all depends on how much the individual is assimilated into the local culture through e.g. customs, attires, diets, values, beliefs, religions, language....etc.

My guess is because they've been around the U.S. longer. I grew up with Chinese kids in my school, but never saw a middle-eastern person until I was well into adulthood. Give it 10 more years...nobody will even notice you anymore.
