Mark,
Please do go see a Doctor right away (if not sooner). Chest pains that "come and go" are subtle little warnings from your body that something is a-miss.
Have someone drive you to the hospital or call 9-1-1 to get assistance. Do not drive.
Please let us all know what happens and how you are.
Bright Blessings.....G

Absolutely! Chest pains should always be taken seriously!
However, it's not necessarily a heart attack. I had chest pains a couple of years ago, and it was a weird (but basically harmless) condition called costochondritis, where the cartilage between my sternum (breastbone) and ribs had become inflamed. So every time I took a deep breath, or moved quickly, laughed hard, anything that caused a jarring to that area of my body, I had chest pains. The doctor gave me an EKG just to be safe (it was normal), but we were both kind of doubting that at 29 and in reasonably good health I was having a heart attack! He said costochondritis is fairly common in people 20-40 years old.

yes, even though they are not always with you. You should write down when you have them and on a 1-10 scale how bad they are and how long they last until you get into the doctor. It may be something as small as just a heart murmmur but it could be more serious. Please contact your doctor.

Yes you should, It may not be your heart, you didn`t mention any other symptoms, chest pain can be from lots of different things, but don`t wait till its to late, if its your heart they can work wonders now.

Hell Yes! Dont be afraid of the doctor, hopefully it isn't anything, but if it is you need to go check it out, you might have a heart attack if you dont. My grandfather had a heart attack and died, and I hate ignorance, please go see a doctor and dont end up like my grandfather.
