I too am against abortion myself, because all it is, is ur taking someone's life away that you urself created. HOWEVER, i do not think it should be made illegal, because there are those few circumstances that make abortion a reasonable option (i.e.: rape). being only 14, i'm no parent, but after fertilization there is only a bunch of cells forming; not an actual person. Many people cut down trees which are alos made of cells, but not too many people clamor against this. If however, a pregrancy has developed into later stages, and a baby is forming, then i think it would truly be just murder to commit abortion juts then. So in all truth i would have to say that aboriton is really the choice of the one bearing the child, because different circumstances have substantial effects on the lives of others. I think neither I nor anyone else has the right to decide what is right for others (unless ur a guardian...), however people should be open to advice. I hope this helps!

Under current law, the right or wrong of it is up to the person. Even God gives them that choice, as a part of the choice of free will. The choice to abort is no worse than any other choice made not in keeping with God's Will. Their choice is upon their own head.
As a Christian, you cannot say that the person who was aborted might have done great things, because regardless of what they did, God intends to destroy this old system and bring back a Paradise Earth. Besides, the Bible says that everyone will be resurrected, and perhaps this will include those living souls who were aborted.
Also, as a Christian, it is not for us to try to change the laws to make abortion illegal. We are suppose to turn away from the old system. God intends to destroy all the governments of man, and when that happens, it will include all those who found that they simply could not being themselves to turn away, just as it included Lot's Wife.
My daughter had an abortion some years ago. I did not condemn her for that choice, but only reminder her that she has to live, or not live in the new system, with that choice.

I believe it is wrong. I am not politically involved in the issue, but I believe that issue boils down to women's rights and feminism. Everyone seems to forget the child's rights. It may be an embryo, but it is a human being. It has a heart beat, moves around, and all things have a right to life. But when an abortion is performed, that right is forcibly taken away. In older babies, this can be done in cruel ways, like hitting the baby over the head so the skull gets smashed unexpectedly. If someone did that to you while you were comfortable and minding your own business, how would you feel as you died? Furthermore, the issue becomes somewhat more complex the younger the embryo is. But it shouldn't be. This embryo may be inside the mother, but it has a seperate body and conciousness and its rights are seperate from that of the woman.

I am very on the fence about abortion. I know that is the worst position.
If the baby is able to feel any pain or sense of being at all--it is wrong. I have never heard anyone prove this one way or the other.
I can tell you that late term abortions bother me a great deal..it gets to be the old slippery slope thing with me about then. I start thinking of China and how they kill baby girls right after birth and then I think if people can do that in good conscience then how old are they until it isn't right to kill them anymore. I know that isn't supposed to be a valid argument. But I can't help feeling wrong about it.
It's all very complicated and that is why I have such a hard time with the whole thing.
I wouldn't have an abortion. 25 years ago I got pregnant out of marriage. I fought long and hard with this question, but opted to have the baby. Her father and I were married when I was 3 months pregnant. (We'll celebrate our 26 anniversary in 3 days.) If I had had an abortion she would never have been born and she is so full of life--human life. But I know that if I had had an abortion I wouldn't know about that life anyway.
See--I'm on the fence. But I can say my life is better because of her.

I think everyone can make mistakes. However I think that abortion is something that needs to be taken VERY seriously...it's not nearly the same as just taking the birth control pill. Girls who have them routinely done I think are seriously in the wrong.

Abortion is horrible. no matter what. it is like murder. how could you live with yourself? i know i couldn't. the thought of killing my own baby. it is wrong. i could not put myself through it. everything is for a reason, and if god wants you to have a baby then you should think of that as being blessed. some women can't even have a baby. think about that? ya know? you should put your baby up for adoption before you have an abortion, which i could not even do that.

I could never do it myself. I don't think I have the right to tell someone else not to. Which is worse? Bringing an unwanted baby into the world, where it is likely to be abused, neglected, on welfare. Are you willing to pay for the child's upbringing if it must survive on welfare for a greater portion of it's life? Or all of it? Or will you complain.
Adoption is an option, but many of those children are not adopted and shifted from foster home to foster home. These children eventually grow up with an identity crisis. They go through life wondering what they did wrong at birth, that their blood mother did not want them. They wander around searching for answers, that are never really answered. They feel like outsiders in our society. Many grow up to abuse drugs to escape those empty feelings, many turn to suicide. Yes, some do turn out just great.

Must you really post up this question? This is probably the 1000000th question like this
Why don't you go back to resolved questions and read peoples' answers?
...You know what I think? I think abortion is none of your business. It is only the mother's business. Abortion is an option, a right, and a choice.
Get a life.

I think it's everyone's own business whether they choose to abort or not. Nobody has the right to stick their nose into other peoples' private life. If you want to believe that it's wrong, great. Don't ever abort. More power to you.
Maybe one day you'll find it in your heart to even adopt a child that wasn't wanted by its mother or has been abandoned.

Abortion is wrong I agree.
But there's times where people
should except it.
Like if the woman was raped.
Also if there young. Yes, if there young
maybe they shouldve thought
about that before having sex but still
the child & the woman would have a hard
life if they were young.
