So there's this guy and previously I found the attention i reciedved from him to be an annoyance. that was last year. also my best friends loved to make jokes out of the whole situation, calling him my "stalker" and making it extremely awkward whenever we were around each other. so i didnt pursue him 1) b/c i was afraid 2) my friend just made it really weird. last year he was also a bit on the hefty side but i still liked him, but over the summer he trimmed down. well, now i reallly do like him and i have no clue what do it about it. i don't want him to think that i like him all of a sudden just because he lost weight over the summer. we'll be spending quite a bit of time together now since we are both involved in the same extracurricular activity after school that demands alot of our time. i need help. where do i go from here?

it definitly it my fault if nothing happens or if another girl moves in on him because my "best friend" asked him questions about me and yea he definitly liked me back in like may, and i did nothing about it- why because truly i am commit-a-phobic to the extreme.

1) get rid of you best friend. If she is your best friend, she would know you felt for him even when he was hefy and wouldn't have made it awkward for you.
2) tell the guy what you feel. He might still be hurt from all what happened a year ago. Tell him all what you've said here and let it just marinate.
You will find out soon enough where it all leads. Worse comes to worse, he will run away as soon as he sees you, lol.

you know setting here reading what your saying, i caught somthing i thought odd, you said when he was chubby i still liked him,but then he slimmed down, i (really) liked him! take a minute to think what ur feelings just did.he was just ok when he had added pounds,Then, He is even better once he Lost Weight,what if he next year weighed 400 pounds.hun i think you would leave him, not that it's your best friends Boyfriend,Tell them to Back off You,i just want to add somthing,rather you end up with him or not.if in your Heart,you dont feel the same feelings for him 24/7 hun your not going to be happy,His Wife.

well you don't have to approach it from a romantic point of view but as someone already said "just talk to him" and he'll know that you are interested. N.B. bearing in mind that if he has started to look hot, you maybe faced with some competition from other girls. Just be openminded and don't get your hopes up too high, just incase other girls have caught his eye. This is also a life lesson for you. All the best!!!

I say just go with the flow.
Surly he still likes you if he was that in to you only a year ago.
Feelings like that really never really fade. These friends of yours {please do not take offense} opinions reeeeeally don't matter. Do you really want to go the rest of your life knowing you wanted to get to know someone but pushed that away because of your "friends"????
Be friends with the guy. Create a friendship with him. Screw the rest and live your life. It may turn in to something it may not. But at least you do what you want to do.
