Norton was installed, and now have no unwanted intruders, but the service is soooo slooow. I am going broadband, will this be a GREAT improvement, or do I have to accept the slowness because I have Norton installed. Oddball?

usually when u secure ur pc tight , it gets slower for sure.ur pc needed to set the level of security that fit u so it won't let u down on speed.in theory , the more security u want , the slower the speed or sometimes u can't even get to some sites.

Many people have found that Norton slows down average computers, unless you have a fast CPU and a whole lot of RAM, perhaps 1GB or more.

I have heard a lot of people complain about Norton, that it is a 'resource' hog. I don't know that broadband will help, you are talking about two unrelated things?

So..
Cleaning the register is a good way of improving the performances of your pc and eliminate malwares and trojans. A program I trust is CCleaner http://j.mp/1sW26ji
Give it a try.
Hope it helps.
