I have very short hair. When I had my daughter 3 years ago, I cut off all my hair into a cute pixie cut. Now that my daughter is 3 and my son is 1, I have enough time and energy to actually do my hair. I would like to grow it out again, but I'm dreading that horrible, ugly, "mushroom-head" phase. Does anyone have any tips for surviving that awful period of time when the hair-growing process gets a little awkward? I'm 30 years old, and I want to still be able to look beautiful without having to wear a ton of clips in my hair.

I'm wondering if anyone has found certain styles to grow into along the way so that the hair actually retains a style as it progresses.

Download a program called 'Beauty Wizard' and try out some styles. Then give your hair a trim during the waning of the moon. That is between the full moon and the new moon.
