Every time someone askes if I believe in god and I say no. They flip out on me. Now I respect those who believe, so why can't they respect my decision not too. I thought that was a freedom! So for you believers I have listened to you preech on about how I should believe, but you haven't told me why I can't have respect for my choice! So now I am finally asking you why can't I be free to choose?

Sorry my friend but not everyone will accept a just system. They want their freedom but too many times refuse to allow others to have the same.
Why don't you reply to others who ask you if you believe in God that such to you is a personal matter and you will not discuss the issue period. Why do you insist in telling them you do not believe?
I use to use a standard reply when another did want to talk to me about their God. I told them that to me Politics and Religion were both the same. We can talk for hours and more than likely neither side will budge an inch. So let us make a deal OK. You spend for two cases of beer and the snacks and we will talk about either one you want. Knowing in advance I will be just wasting my time do let me enjoy the beer you are paying for and the food we will eat at your expense.
My friend I never had a single person do that. I once was invited to a birthday party and was told that at the party a minister did want to talk to me. I agreed to go if there was plenty of beer. To my surprise the beer was there and I was the only one to drink it so I did meet the minister and did enjoy the beer OK. But that was the only time.
My friend do try it and maybe you will get a lot of free which I did not get OK.
Now have a great day and do smile at the foolishness of others and their unjust ways. Such is just humankind's natural innate nature.

Well you are free. You chose to be an atheist and no one's locked you in jail, fined you, or burned you at the stake. People have simply been annoying. There will always be people who are annoying and won't take "not interested" for an answer. That's life. Deal with it. Freedom doesn't mean freedom from ever being annoyed. No one has the right never to be annoyed. Would be nice if we did, but that's not how the world works.

I know.... I totally know. And do you know why they flip out. Its because of our repution. When you say you don't believe in god they automatically think your some kind of devil worshiper....which by the way we don't belive in either. I respect Christians and they're decisions. My best friend is a christian and i don't ignore her because she loves jesus. And she doesn't ignore me because i believe in scientific fact. So next time they flip out on you just tell them what think. If they don't listen then they're not true christians.

Many believers in God, particularly strong believers, believe because they've been told to. They've never stopped to think about what might really be out there. Athiests challenge the idea that God is there because he is. Athiests make people need to think, so those "strong believers" will always want to fight you, since you threaten thier relatively weak reasoning for believing. Lots of athiests know a considerable amount about religion (I can almost always cite pieces of scripture that self professed Christians don't even know). They have better, more logical reasoning to back up thier beliefs, and therefore threaten those who blindly follow God.

You know that is Indeed your choice..WHo are they to be disrespectful to you. I find that to be intriguing because well i believe in HIM off course i do, but I donot ever force people into believing in what I believe. I believe that people should make their own choices and decisions and I leave that choice up to you. I guess those people who have no respect for your beliefs are people who still have to be taught the PRIME LESSON in CHRISTIANITY and that is that PEOPLE HAVE FREE AGENCY and NO ONE SHOULD BE FORCED TO BELIEVE IN WHAT THEY BELIEVE, so my advice to you is...dont bother what people are saying, you can always tell them that you should be loved, respected and cared for, if they are TRUE CHRISTIANS. TRUE CHRISTIANS have love and understanding for all..BELIEVERS and even UNBELIEVERS..so there you go.

Maybe you are mistaking concern for you with what you feel is disrespect! Most ppl would tell you not to jump off a tall building if you were about to, right? It is the same with God and Christians. We don't want you to make a bad decision that will have a really bad end. You have the right to choose and decide what you want. I pray you choose the correct path for the best ending possible.

i do respect you for making your own decision (some allow society to make it for them). The respect Christians give is apart of love, so logically all Christans should love and respect you and your choice. They should handle the disagreement better though, atleast the loved ones you are refering to. i do grieve that you don't know Christ but i pary that you will some day soon . . . maybe today. :) By the way you are a loved one as well.

You do have the freedom to chose, and if that's what you choose to believe then of course that's your choice I've never felt it necessary to force my beliefs on others, I chose to simply inform and let them make the decision from there. So believe what you want, you don't believe in God, then I BELIEVE you will go to Hell, and that's OK, and it shouldn't matter if you don't believe anyway.

The Bible says everyone is free to choose.However how can one choose unless one has thoroughly investigated to find out if there really is a Creator.This way one can choose from almost everything available. Have you considered 2 Thessalonians 2:11.

you do and for those that dont respect you for that they dont believe in god. when you get asked that and the person flips just calmly say when i die i will find out it will be like xmas after im gone and if there is a god and i see him when im dead i will believe in god because i have seen him. but tell then i am fine with my position and yours
