Pink is a lighter shade of red. Purple is a secondary color-a mixture of red and blue. Pink is red with white added in.

pink is a tint of red. to get pink you add white to red. if you added black to red...that would be a shade of red. purple is a secondary color made by mixing red and blue.

Red. Pink is a mix of red and white, not purple and white. You get lavender if you mix purple and white.

Pink is a tint of red. There are purpleish pinks and orangeish pinks too, but only because orange and purple are next to red on the color wheel.

A tint is when you add white to a color.
A shade is when you add black to a color.
A tone is when you add grey to a color. (both black and white)

OMG pink is not a SHADE. Pink is a TINT of RED. You get tints by adding white to a color.
