Plain and simple, my dad abused my mom in their marriage. I have been hesitant in respecting males since...and I don't know why, but sometimes I like emotionally messing with them. Even if it's not really emotional, but just by leading them on....
Is it normal to like leading guys on? I probably lead a ton of them on at college...I can't help it. I am only emotionally attracted to the ones who don't ask me out--the friends.

Marty K...my stepdad told my mom I should be careful because right now the guys I met have been relatively simple, but if I lead on an asshole, he will get revenge?
What do you think of this?

KRL...about the P.S.
I am a bit interested in guys initially, yet once I know them a little bit more, I quickly lose interest. I don't know why. Many of them make me feel uncomfortable...

not all of the guys are abusive, but leading people on isn't a nice thing to do, i say you should see a shrink about it, your childhood trauma is causing you to do this.

I will have to tell a little story. When i was young, I had a cat come into my house and give babies just out of no where. That cat stayed there with us for a while and it had three very cute little kittens. Once, they were old enough, the cat let me hold her kittens. I regularly fed the mother cat making sure she was healthly enough to feed her kittens. I was in a way emotionally attached to those growing kittens. Then, a few months on, slowly, one by one, the kittens start to disappear. When two disappeared, I was very concerned, yet the mother cat wasn't. One day, I just decided to check on the kitten during the night and to my horror saw a headless kitten. The creature which made the kitten headless was no other than the mother cat itself. It ate all of its babies. I let the cat finish the remaining carcus and once she finished, I beat the cat out of the house. After that day, I have hated cats and whenever I saw cats, i made sure I hurt every single cat that crossed my path.
Question here is am I doing the right thing?
I believe what you do only really gives you satisfaction of revenge. You couldn't really hurt you father so instead, you stereotyped his gender and been punishing anyone you thought had an image of him.
You are far too independent in nature as far as i believe and I think you would be better off choosing who you would fall in love with (without them making a move on you off course) because you feel secure in thier presence.
Or a humorous suggestion could be that you turn homo-sexual!

No, it's not normal to always lead guys on. And it's not very nice because one of those guys might be a prince charming for you. I think your really afraid to get close to anyone because your afraid to get hurt. The reason I feel you are more attracted to to the ones that don't ask you out is because you know they aren't serious and aren't really interested. Don't be afraid to give one of those nice guys a chance. Maybe you think your not good enough for them, but you really are. I think that's why you like the bad guys. I think you will do fine once you try and give one a chance. Be brave and take a chance on love. Take care!

You can help it... Just think of it this way, if you fall for someone that you really really like and then find out he was just playing a game with you, I dont think YOU would be too happy. I think its immature to play games. You said it yourself you know why you do it so find a way to stop. When it comes to trusting guys just be cautious. There are other ways of knowing if you can trust a guy than playing games.

A lot of guys have hormonal changes in the night and early morning especially those relating to sexual desires. Most guys have a hard-on in the morning, without provocation. Your bf's habit may just be his own peculiar reaction to hormonal changes. Doesn't seem abnormal to me.

No, it's not normal. You should try counseling or try to figure out why you do it and then stop.
P.S. Do you find you at first like the guy and want to give him a chance...and then something happens to make you move away from him? Like something happens that reminds you of something else you hated growing up.

It's an extremely dangerous game and you have no idea of the danger you could place yourself in, or the violence that could result. This is what's often behind the headlines. ALL of you are completely without a clue. Take a look at this:
