AMNESTY.

I would first TRUELY secure our borders so that no more illegal immigrants can come in. Whatever that takes to do that is what you have to do. The immigrants would have to apply and come in the legal way then.

As far as people who are already here, I would not deport them immediately because that would be impossible. I would not give them amnesty either, but would put everyone (100% of illegal immigrants) on probabtion immediately (since they broke the law to get here in the first place). At the sign of any more illegal activity whatsoever, any arrest whatsoever, I would deport them them at that time. That would send back the undesirable wannabe citizens. Sell drugs - bye bye; Don't pay child support - bye bye; Steal - bye bye; drive a car without insurance - bye bye, etc. Then our jails would not be full of illegals who broke the law and are a burden on the tax payers. I would take that saved tax money and instead of using it to feed them in a prison, I would use it to hire legal citizens in this country to serve as probation officers thereby creating new jobs.

That should help solve what seems to be an impossible problem we have gotten ourselves into.

Anyone that is here illegally needs to be shipped right back to Mexico. Build a very large fence that is rigged with sensors so that anytime it is being cut or climed people can tell. Make it a federal crime to enter illegaly. If a kid is born from any illegal person the kid will be shipped right back with the parent(s). Make it a federal crime for any company to hire an illegal with very large fines. If they want to become legal give them the option to come back AFTER they have been sent back. Next make learning English a must have in order to take the test to become legal.

NO guest worker programs that just gives them more of a reason to come here

NO amnesty for the ones that are here becuase that would still give them incentive to get here because you couldnt prove how long they had been there.

I would provide a path to citizenship for 6 million of the illegal immigrants currently in the US (or a number as recommended by Congress). I would then give all illegal immigrants an opportunity to apply for the limited number of citizenship openings. The decision process would be carried out by a committee who would consider such things as employment history, criminal record, ability to speak English, length of time in the country, etc. The remainder of the illegal immigrants would be deported with a stipend amount to allow them to get on their feet in their own country. (cheaper than continuing to support everyone). Before my plan could even begin to work, however, immigration would have to be on hold for 2-3 years and the borders secured.

Massive deportation with an option to enter legally later.

Change the laws so that you can't get your green card by crossing the border to dump your baby here.

Massive Walls.

Lie detector tests in Spanish to root out criminals.

make a law to deport US citizens who participate in fake marriage scams.

Five lashes in public just prior to deportation as incentive not to return illegally.

I would enforce the laws we have against hiring illegals plus add that employers who hire illegals would be prosecuted and if convicted, sent to prison and have all the profit they made by hiring illegals taken from them.

All illegals would be rounded up, fingerprinted, sent home and told that if they return again as illegals, they would be imprisoned for five years. If they return legally by obeying immigration laws and passing a health examination, they would be allowed back in.

I do not support amnesty. I feel that if you are here illegally you need to be deported. However, that being said, I do not have a problem with anyone being here legally.

well the usa states that we are free, and its illegal to treat anyone diffrent because of their race, so why are we not letting immigrants such as mexicans in? is it racial, or is it the risk of them taking over jobs, spreading disease, not saying that people from other countries have horrible diseases that could kill us. its a possibility i guess. i dont know i guess my answer is more like a question.

I'd recognize we don't really have an immigration problem and set up a guest worker program.
