As a child I had super thick hair. Now (the past 6 months or so) my hair has thinned out SO MUCH. the biggest hair fall i find is all over the sink while i am blowdrying my hair- it all falls out when wet! what is going on? the only thing i can possibly think of is that i started taking allergy shots this year. it's the only medication i am on. now i am using mane n tail which is making it feel thicker and the actual hair strands stronger, but i still see quite a bit of hair fall. any words of advice?

Stress is usually the main culprit for premature hair loss. You may want to make an appointment with a dermatologist... YES, I said dermatalogist!. They would be the type of specialist with the ability to diagnose hair loss. Hope this helps;)

There are many things that can make your hair thin out. Are you sure it is thinning...or is it breaking off? Mane and tail shampoo is really bad for your hair! It has wax in it which can weigh down your hair and also clog the pores on your scalp which can lead to hair loss. SWITCH SHAMPOO'S! I think that maybe you need to switch to a professional shampoo at least until you figure out whats going on. You are going to first need a clarifying shampoo to strip all the wax off your hair. You should use it about one or two times a week. Then you need to get a good shampoo like Biolage. They have a whole lone of shampoos to choose from. Also, I would have your thyroid and blood pressure checked because those are 2 things that can make your hair fall out. Ask your doctor about the shots because I don't know much about those. good luck! I hope this helps!

If you think your hair loss could be connected to the medication you are taking, you should call your doctor right away and tell him/her what is going on. It may be a rare side effect, or indicator of a much more serious side effect of the drug. It also could be an unrelated problem of genetics (especially if there is hair loss on your mother's side, women do lose their hair too), stress, or a disease, but whatever is causing it, don't you think you should let your doctor know? There may be some medical way to stop it.

Well I'm not an expert, but I think part of it could be in your genes...Like my mom her hair was really thick...now its REALLY thin...so that's probably how mine's gonna be. It could be the medication your on though. I suggest just keep using mane n tail and go on. That's about all you can do besides talking to your stylist and seeing what they say. Good luck and hope I helped!

Here's what you gotta do:

1. Get a vitamin E capsule (most of them comes in gel capsule form that has a liquid inside. Any brand will do.)
2. Get a needle and pop the capsule.
3. Now get your shampoo bottle and put the liquid vitamin E inside the bottle.
4. Mix the bottle.
5. Use your shampoo.

You'll notice that your hair will grow faster compared before. Trust me, this works. :) I also do this myself. :)

If you have virgin coconut oil at home, you can use this as well. Put it on hair and leave it for at least 30 minutes (You can do this at least 3x a day). Then rinse it off using your shampoo. The VCO can act as your hair lengthener and as your conditioner. :) Goodluck! :) (Refer to my avatar to see how well VCO/Vitamin E works =P)

Talk to your doctor. Hair loss can be associated with a physical problem, especially a thyroid problem. Many other factors such as stress, medication, lack of certain vitamins, as well as over blow drying can cause problems. Also, reduced circulation to the scalp will cause hair loss...try gently massaging scalp daily. I hope you find and correct the cause.

Are you stressing out over something? It also could be the medication. Your hair changes as you get older. It could be products your using..your diet..anything. Go to your doctor and get that checked out.
