I chose Navy because I wanted to get an education and since my birth-date was the 10th draft number pulled, I enlisted.
Went to corpsman school, camp Pendleton and played with the Marines, then, Viet Nam for a tour.
I think it does all young men good to do a hitch because it teaches you responsibility and gives you a great opportunity for travel. I grew up in a short time and my training and skills have stayed with me since.
The last 27 years, I have been a paramedic and that goes back to the training I received.
I visited 19 foreign countries and made many friendships that last today.

Well, I was an Army Ranger (2nd Bat. 75th Reg, for my brother in arms at the top of these answers). THe choice of te Army was initially to be able to strike a claim of individuality in my family. I come from a line of Marines that can be traced back to the inception in Tunn Tavern. After living my childhood as a marine officer's son, I saw several things I didn't like, so I joined the Army. More choice of jobs would probably answer that. I spent six years in the Rangers and got out as an E6.
I made some of my best friends in the Army. I wouldn't have changed a thing. I have experiences that others will never have the opprotunity to try. My only gripe has to do with the Balck Beret, but that is a completely different story. HOOOAH!!!

That does make experience and is an extremely sturdy determination. i'm guessing you will do ROTC in college. you additionally must look into military, the army scholarships are the least perplexing to get, and extra faculties have military ROTC than the different branch. yet between USAF and USN, it relies upon on what you pick to do for the period of and after the militia. so a techniques as funds you would be paid the comparable in the two branches. region interior the army will maximum possibly be close to the coast, AF could be various places. admire, possibly the comparable except you circulate Marine determination with the army. activity adventure, the two will practice you lots, basically look in any respect the jobs in each and every branch and verify out to slender it down and choose one. sturdy luck, with a bit of luck you will get a scholarship and make a determination, individually i might circulate military.

Air Force: I got married right before I joined and I wanted to join the Marines, but the Air Force is more "family friendly". I told my recuriter that I didn't want a desk job and I wanted to work on the jets. I love my job and the people I work with are great.
